Jimbo's

Great store! Really good deals on some organic produce such as chard--consistently cheaper than Northgate Market. Occasionally they also have really good deals on vegan mayo, vegan cheese, and some wines. Their ready-made and made-to-order sandwiches are also fantastic! Lately it closes at 6PM everyday. Sadly, they seem to be getting a raw deal from the mall re-developer, so the store may or may not reopen, which would make Ralph's the only game in the Gas Lamp for health food products :-/

I LOVE Jimbo's. The extra care and attention to detail the employees take with the customers makes it feel like home. There were times i went in to ask for something they didn't have that day, but they made sure to have the next time i came in. Jimbo's truly cares. I am very sad to see the Horton location closing (hopefully temporarily), but I will definitely be taking the trip more North every weekend to continue to shop from this incredible company. Hoping to maybe see a Jimbo's in Mission Valley someday with the growing scene there as well as the future of SDSU's stadium and surrounding area :) Thank you Jimbo's staff for being a cut above.

Excellent grocery store in central downtown that feels extremely safe and clean during these COVID times (especially when compared to the Ralph’s just a block away that feels like a virus breeding ground upon entering). The produce is fresh and I love the deli and pre-packaged grab and go style foods available. Their meat, seafood, and vegan options are all very good and the ingredients are listed clearly so you can read how healthy your meal is! I love their deli options and the ability to sample items beforehand. There’s also a bakery and section in the back for natural skin and body care. They offer validated parking at Horton Plaza too! Free for an hour.

Great selections. VERY healthy food, drinks, and supplements. All natural medicines and they even have a deli where you can get healthy lunches made for you. They have a VERY friendly staff as well that make you feel welcomed. This is one of the first whole foods stores I've personally started going to and I am happy that I did. I love Jimbo's. They have made a happy customer.

Similar to while foods, only better!! I ordered an organic green smoothie. They juice the produce while you wait. Mine had 4 stalks of celery, kale, spinach, almond butter, blueberries, Ginger, lemon, and maybe some honey?! It was amazing! I also grabbed a container of grilled tofu veggies off the salad bar, again amazing!! The hubby got one of the home made juices, I think it was mostly beets with lemon and Ginger... Really yummy!!

I found this store during my very short visit to San Diego while I was looking for a market that sells organic fruits. Several reviews mentioned that they have great hot, ready-to-eat breakfast items on their buffet and they are all organic, which was hard to believe! Those few reviews about the ready-to-eat meals inspired me to try my next breakfast in the store. I do not regret it one bit! They have the salad bar, hot meals, cold appetizers ready in morning hours besides the eggs, cheese and other simple breakfast items as well. Although I chose to build a salad for my breakfast, I liked the other available options so much that I decided to have my dinner and the following breakfast here as well. For dinner, along with raw salad from the buffet, I went for poached salmon and spiced Thai rice salad from the cold mezes section, which were both incredibly delicious. You can read the ingredients used in the meals, which I really appreciated. The price tags are high indeed, but unfortunately until the organic becomes the norm, healthy options will come with a price. Besides, eating at Jimbo's Naturally! is not only more cost effective than eating at a nearby restaurant, but also you have the ease of mind that you are eating healthier, and also supporting a cause, which I really care about.
