Outstanding Ramen! I visited with both friends and family, each ordering something unique, and every dish that arrived at our table I would have been happy to eat. They have an extensive sake selection, we sampled various flights, most of which were excellent.
The only issue was the wait, I think they were having a hard time working the table booking system.
The Black Ramen was really good. The broth was amazing and hearty. Everything was very well balanced and blended well together. Added chili oil for an extra kick. The sake list was very long as well. Had something for everyone.
An upscale place with a good vibe and great food. Staff is friendly and tries their best to assist.
There are good vegan options. Although there is only one vegan ramen option, the curry flavor is really good.
I will definitively recommend trying out Kama. It's a must try, and they run out of it pretty fast.
A good place for vegan/vegetarian people, not many options but really good choices.
OMG. Wow. I was visiting San Diego for a conference. The broth and garlic chips was a good compliment to the beef rib ramen. I was able to get an extra rib just because and this was a life changing experience.

Wonderful Ramen restaurant in the downtown area. Service and atmosphere was great. Stopped by after visiting the zoo and was very satisfied with our meals. Offer Sake by the bottle and quality of food is on point! Was recommended the beef rib ramen and sushi with fried onions and truffle oil. Did not disappoint!
I was craving for Katsu Curry and while I didn’t see Katsu Curry in the menu, I found Chicken Katsu Ramen which was even better!!! 10/10 for the delicious ramen filled with the flavours and comfort of Katsu curry. Would go back for sure! Must try!
Solid ramen spicey miso was great. Pork buns had a big slice of tomato in the middle which was a little weird, but they were still tasty.
Japanese old fashion wasn’t super impressive but they do have a variety of Asian drinks, and the ice cube was a neat touch.

Super delicious vegan ramen. We got the vegan ramen and the curry ramen. We also got spicy garlic edemame and a delicious sake. The service was good too!

Overall the food was delicious but the atmosphere impacted the experience. First: bartender Amadeus was unfailingly friendly, attentive, positive, such a pleasure to interact with, I have nothing but positive reviews for him. They were out of an ingredient for one drink, he suggested a variation on another, it was excellent. Ahi Poké Chips were my absolute favorite, delicious! Light, flavorful, excellent quality fish, light seasoning, unique to serve this with corn chips. Yellowtail Carpaccio was interesting, again excellent quality fish but the pieces were big and kind of hard to eat. Might have been better with accoutrement like a veggie. Beshock Roll and Hitsumabushi Roll were both excellent, 100% recommend both of those. The La Jolla Roll was ok, it was heavy on the cream cheese. The atmosphere was … difficult. There was an outdoor DJ spinning ridiculously loud rave tunes across the street, whose bass was so loud it shook your bones. Obviously not their fault but it negatively impacted our dine-in experience. There were also a couple of comments made between staff that should not have been made in the presence of patrons. If you have personnel issues you should deal with that professionally in a quiet place and not across the bar. It was also a bit uncomfortable when they were shuffling around solo-diners to make room for more butts in seats. So overall, good food, somewhat of a difficult dining atmosphere.
