Sunday brunch buffet
The atmosphere was cozy. The restaurant is decorated for the holidays. The service and greeting from each staff we came into contact with was pleasant and helpful. The food was delicious. The price was reasonable for brunch buffet. AND endless mimosas.
We went with a group of friend and the service was tremendous. The decor is quite fascinating with the old war plane pieces, photos, bunker sacks and they've taken a lot of trouble to make it quite visually stimulating and interesting. It's artistically done, and we appreciated the unique feel.
The thing that realliy tipped the scales for us though was the food! It was exceptional! The lamb, beef, very wide variety of veggies and excellent desserts--it was more than we'd hoped for and we'd each highly recommend it.
Nice quiet place for family get together. There are options of outside seating with camp fire arrangements.
Menu is short and simple but packed with local treasures. The chicken I ordered was well marinated and seasoned, soft and went well with the sauce

Great place to visit
A charming restaurant appropriately located next to the Montgomery Field Airport. On this particular afternoon, the weather was perfect to sit outside and enjoy a good meal that consisted of Shrimp & Crab Louie salad and a nicely done French dip sandwich.
First trip earns a 3.5 and I must come back to try again.
Came all the way from Australia to try this place out defiantely not disappointed we had great service really good quality food and lots of it.

Mothra Says....What's Your Vector Victor?. K and I got a recommendation from April, the best Hair Cutter in the Portland area, to have a cocktail and/or a meal at the 94th Aero Squadron just outside of balmy San Diego. So, because of this strong recommendation, we just had to stop in.
There is both good news and well, not so good news. Bad news was, don't go anywhere on Valentines Day evening. Why? Prefix menus, huge lines, & dudes wearing their one daffy duck tie. Good News: Nice setting, great theme, good drinks.
We entered a full restaurant early at 5pm., sat at the bar and unfortunately listened to the staff complain. Shortly thereafter, we adjourned to a couch by the fire which really made the evening more pleasant. A nice cocktail server immediately approached us and took our drink order. K had a glass of chard, me; my signature martini. We did have a lovely evening here by the fireplace and will be back on a non-festive occasion to attempt lunch or dinner. April; good choice.

Underrated. You won't find any hipsters at this old school supper club style place tucked away off Balboa avenue near Montgomery Field. But the food is good - I would stick with the basics: steak & potatoes is pretty much where it's at. Dark lighting and 1930s jazz makes you either nostalgic or like you are back in grade school and having dinner with your nice, but slightly weird uncle :)
Where else can you play with WW1 planes, cannons and an ambulance while watching planes take off and land! The food is great too. Wine choice is not so good and neither was the service. Who cares though, the ambience is fanstatic and you will take lots of photos!
Worth the price...get there before 10 am. There's a deal if you get there before 10 am, and that makes this joint well worth every cent. They have a decent food selection, nice pasta/fajita/omelette station. A HUGE array of cheescakes (for all you cheesecake lovers). All in all this place is a nice, affordable restaurant to take the fam for brunch.
Sunday Brunch a must have.... Short and sweet of it, the Sunday Brunch is all that, and more. Always a pleasure, always a fond memory. I always ravaged the all-u-can-eat shrimp... who can resist? Good times.

Came here with my family on a Thursday for dinner with a reservation for our group of 7. It was not busy at all and we were seated right away. There is the option to sit outside, but we opted to stay inside. Lighting was a little dark. We were served water right away, and our drink orders taken. We were also served bread with a side of butter. The bread was hot, soft and fresh. We ordered the Crispy Calamari to share. The calamari was cooked well, but it definitely needed some seasoning. I ordered the Seared Salmon, and my wife ordered the Aviator Burger. The salmon was skinless, and seasoned and cooked well; moist and flaky. The burger, cooked to a medium, had great flavor and was juicy. The entrées come with either a soup or salad, which I went with a French Onion soup. The soup was good; not too salty or chunky. The service was friendly and great, giving good recommendations and being attentive. In my opinion, the food is overpriced, paying more for the view of the executive airport and seeing planes fly in and out. I wouldn't come back regularly for dinner, but they do have brunch buffet on Sundays, which would be interesting to see their food selection.
We went for restaurant week on a Wednesday evening. Overall, the food was good. One of the better prime ribs I've had, being well seasoned and well cooked. My creme brule was done well but one of the other ones was a smidge over-bruleed. They also ran out of several things on their restaurant week menu, which is understandable since we were a little later in the day, but still unfortunate. The service was very friendly, but a little slow. I would definitely come back though.
Beautiful place! A lot of cool relic Aero memorabilia. Food was ok. My braised short ribs were very dry ($46). The French onion soup was luke warm. His crab salad was ok ($26). First the server said it came with Avacado and shrimp ... Then came back and said it now does not. We had to add shrimp (another $18). Then when it came, it was missing cucumber.
The building is really cool for a wedding or event. The grounds are filled with beautiful gardens. I feel that the food was over priced and underwhelming.
Ample outdoor seating is available at this spacious restaurant, perfect for these pandemic times. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the establishment boasts unique decorations. P.S. Don't miss out on the mud pie if you have room for dessert!
This place has a world war era theme going on and there is a pilot training with gliders behind. If not for the theme the sound of these gliders would be a nuisance. But with this theme the whole glider setup is an extension of the theme and an attraction. Sunday brunch can be a little pricey at $65 per person. But the food is great and comes with unlimited champagne or mimosas (champagne with orange juice) or poinsettia cocktail ( champagne with cranberry juice)..
Great Sunday brunch buffet. So many options on the buffet and everything that I had was very good. It also included bottomless mimosas in the price. Our server was very attentive and made sure our drinks were always filled and old plates were taken away. The decor of the entire place is aviation themed and has a view of the runway from their back patio.
This place has only gotten better with time. They have a very nice outdoor space facing the flight line/airport. There are multiple bars and rooms throughout the building. This is a restaurant that turns into a club-like scene later in the evening (only on the 1st Friday of the month). There are two DJs that cover both the indoor and outdoor space. The crowd is definitely older (30s to 50s y/o) than what you would find downtown in the Gaslamp Quarter
Had an absolutely delightful brunch experience at 94th Aero Squadron Restaurants! The ambiance was incredibly cozy and warm, creating the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing meal. The selection of fresh foods was impressive, and I couldn't get enough of the delectable crab legs and mouthwatering prime rib. A special shout-out to Jose, whose skillful omelet preparation added a personalized touch to the meal. The waitress went above and beyond, making me feel right at home with her attentive and welcoming service. A brunch filled with love, great food, and wonderful hospitality!
The buffet is magnificent, and the service is excellent at times, but slow at other times (it took us a LONG time to get our check. The location is amazing, with atmosphere to spare. There is history everywhere, and the planes flying in and out right in their back yard is pretty cool.
Had Thanksgiving dinner there. Great buffet and great atmosphere there... but rather pricey to me.
