Awesome Happy Hour, my favourite is the 10 oysters and 1 bottle of wine. The choices of happy hour eats are awesome too. I had the Cioppino - the flavours are very balanced, the seafood is very fresh, I couldn't hv asked for any better. Will definitely come back!
Excellent Excellent Excellent from the drinks to appetizers to the dinner . We were visiting from Arizona and stopped by for Happy hour came back the next evening for dinner Adriana is the best waitress/bartender and the hostess can't recall her name but shes a rockstar too !! Cant wait to go back my next vacation just to spend my time there !! Love the place !
Nice atmosphere! Feels like a Bahrain or Dubai steakhouse. Had the Lo-fi EDM going at the bar. Smell from the kitchen was great.
We decided to sit in bar area to watch the ALCS game. Service was on point from the bar tenders that took our orders. Started with the calamari & shrimp appetizer that was very tasty.
I had the sea bass with risotto and she had stuffed sole. Sea bass was good but small piece of fish over grill asparagus and not very risotto rice and leaks. Sole was much better! All and all, a great meal!! We will definitely be back.
This restaurant is a really great experience. The food was delish, the staff was professional and the ambiance was special. The restaurant has cool decor and plays nice music. They have a vegetarian menu available upon request which is necessary if you don't eat meat since their actual menu showcases the seafood and steaks. We ordered a bone in rib eye, truffle French fries, and the spinach and mushroom ravioli from the vegetarian menu. The truffle fries and the ravioli were fantastic. My husband's steak was ordered medium and came out well done, but our server immediately offered to take it back and the replacement steak came out perfectly. We sat outside along the street which while it was light out was nice but once it got dark was not a good choice. Some of the street people were interactive with the restaurant guests in a negative way. I recommend sitting inside. Overall, I really enjoyed this restaurant and I would recommend it to others. It is pricey so probably for special occasions would be best.
Cheese board was delicious. We got 3 cheeses and 2 meats (prosciutto was generous). It's probably expected from duck but my duck ravioli was too salty for my taste. The squid ink pasta is definitely a must try though!
My dining experience at Osteria was exceptional! I am a hopeless romantic, and like to go big for my girlfriend's birthday. This year, I wanted to make dinner the highlight of our birthday plans.
I called ahead to see if they had any vegan options, and was offered a special menu for our special evening. As a vegan, I know all of the best places to get amazing meals in San Diego. The hard part is finding a vegan restaurant with any kind of high scale and romantic ambience.
Osteria blew us away! When we arrived, we were greeted with a genuine smile as if seeing an old friend. We were led to our table to find it covered in fresh red rose petals, and a custom printed menu reading "Happy Birthday (my girlfriend's name)".
We then we're brout a 5 course meal, one dish at a time, along with a special "mocktail" to compliment it. (We don't drink alcohol, so this was a really nice surprise!)
Our meal included brushetta, crab cakes with mango salsa, fish tacos with seaweed salad, chicken teriyaki with vegetables, beef risotto, and tiramisu (one strawberry, one mocha). All 100% vegan!
Everything was incredible, and in a perfectly lit and serenaded setting. My girlfriend was so impressed, and several girls walking by commented on how sweet the roses were!
I highly recommend Osreria, especially for your next special occassion. It is worth every penny to go big and let them do their magic. Compliments to the chef, the manager, and the crew , and thank you for a night to remember forever.
Best seafood in the gaslamp!! Beautiful atmosphere, attentive service and outstanding food. The octopus appetizer was cooked perfectly and the sauce it was paired with made me excited for every bite! The steaks are also top quality. The prime 21 day dry aged Ribeye with porcini mushroom sauce was fantastic. Highly recommend Osetra!
Omg this place was awesome, so freaking delicious!! The oysters were so fresh and I believe I got the Sole for my entree and man, it was good!! You ever had a meal that make you feel like you want to kiss the person who made it? Well this food made me feel this way lol. My whole body felt good from eating it, and the portions are perfect. Also the staff were super professional, and friendly. I have been living in San Diego for a long time and I am so mad at myself for not checking this place put sooner.
the food was what one would expect from a place this nice. and they let me bring my dog into the dinning room with me. the service was exemplary, my steak was perfect! and Coco the Yorkshire Terrier was comfy
Oysters were good! Not the absolute best I’ve had, but at this price in San Diego you can’t ask for much more. The champagne sauce was quite good!
They’re $1/oyster during happy hour (4:30-6:30 Monday to Friday, I think)
The complimentary bread was actually very very good and yummy. Fluffy texture and great flavor. It comes with some type of butter with chives I think. I’m not sure. But it was great!
Thank you. Shall be back.
Oh, and fish taco was just ok. Not bad.
