We had a fantastic dinner at Double Standard! The service was good, the wine selection is awesome, and the food was fresh and delicious. We had the meat and cheese platter for an appetizer and between four of us, it was more than enough for all! The menu changes quite frequently, but I would recommend the lasagna pizza! End with the apple pie cannoli for a sweet treat. The only reason I gave four stars is that there are not many main course selections and they were out of three of them. Will have to try them again!

I really love the place and how nicely it is decorated. I had a carbonara and it was great! Although the sauce is a bit more watery than I thought, the pasta is just perfect. Don't forget the servers. They are just so friendly and welcoming.

Loved the experience! I have been here twice and each time I have went the service has been fun and friendly! The inside is so well decorated and interesting to look at. Perfect for a sassy date ;) or a nice place for you to hang with friends. Location on a block with a parking place, so definitely a plus! Many different menu options including so vegan selection. Below is vegan mushroom pasta (yuuumm) a few drinks and the A delicious dessert!

Yummy delicious food and an amazing ambiance. Located in central Gaslamp quarter, this restaurant provides delicious at with very professional service. The wait staff was very attentive, was literally at our table very 5 minutes to refill our waters. The food came out very quickly as well. We started with the house Caesar salad, I had the mushroom pizza (photo attached below) and my partner had the gnocchi pasta. Both were very tasty and super filling. The pizza was very greasy though, due to the eggs on top.

Great find, service and food in the Gaslamp District. Some good and unique dishes. Had the brussel sprouts and brocolinni sides which were large portions and very tasty. The charcuterie plate will g feed 4 easily for $21. The Bolognese with short rib meat was very good and plenty of meat in that dish. Was not crowded at 6:30 so we were a little nervous at first but was very good and prices were not excessive either. Will be back.. Went back tonight.. Still awesome. Every one loved their meals . Service great. Had mixed plates and shared.

Came here with my family (husband, 2 kids) on a Saturday night and loved it. The service was great. We ordered the beef and bone marrow tartar and Brussels sprouts for appetizers. Both were great, but the beef tartar does include heart of palm, which may not be something that everyone likes. My son had the lobster spaghetti, and ate the whole thing before I had a chance to steal a bite. He assured me it was delicious. I had the duck carbonara, and the texture of the pasta was perfect. The richness of the egg and the sauce blended well with everything. It didn’t look like a big bowl, but it was certainly rich. My daughter had the meat and leeks pizza. It was good, but not the best pizza we’ve ever had, so I would probably pick something other than pizza on the menu if we go back another time. We got our first appetizer pretty quickly, and then waited a bit for our second appetizer. We actually wouldn’t have really noticed if the server hadn’t come out with a burrata that was absolutely delicious, “compliments of the chef” because our second appetizer (the bone marrow) was taking a while longer than expected. So, that was good service. And if you like fresh cheese and tomatoes, the burrata is for you. Overall, attentive and polite service, and delicious food. Would definitely recommend it!

Bright and open space. Sidewalk seating or the bar along the big open windows in front. Watch the crowd while enjoying some really good food. We were there for brunch, a limited menu and bar. The Breakfast Burger were ooey gooey messy delicious and I finished it all! The side of potatoes were equally yum. Double fried to be extra crispy. Really good! Can't wait to try them again next time I'm in San Diego.

Delicious and tasty. Good food and decor. Comfortable chairs. A couple different pasta dishes and entres, plus pizza. Appetizers and small plates make up half the menu with vegetables on the right. Crispy Brussels sprouts were a little too crispy and sweet but octopus was delicious and pasta was tasty. Wanted to try some cocktails but pilsner was too good. Fun yellow sofa and soft blue couch, all leather. B.

Fantastic! Roasted glazed Brussels sprouts were the best I’ve ever tasted! Salmon is wonderful and prociutoo ricotta bruschetta was fab! They make a mean whiskey sour with a special name I can’t remember.

This place is great! The decor is really cool 1'd the food is amazing. We had the mushroom toast, butternut ravioli and mushroom pizza, all were amazingly tasty. Their Moscow mules and mocking bird are also great!

Wonderful wine selection. We stopped in for a drink and some appetizers. We had crudo and the heirloom tomato salad. Both were excellent, the crudo was awesome. Get a reservation for their innovative dinners or enjoy a casual experience at the bar. We'll be back!

This is the best Resturant in San Diego, Adrian is an amazing host and Chris the chef will make you reguess your choice in dinning else where. I can't stop coming back it's the best food.

Awesome place. Went for lunch today - they are open for lunch on Sat and Sun! You have to try the mushroom toast appetizer. Beyond delicious. Very rich though - share it so you can try other items. The pizza is very good - a must order. I definitely want to come back to try dinner items!

Dropped in yesterday for lunch. The 3 of us had mushroom toast, burrata bruschetta and grilled romaine for appetizers, then truffle fries, then short rib, jindori chicken and steak sandwiches - we were so full but couldn't stop eating because everything was so good. The truffle fries are the best I've ever had, and I order truffle fries often when I go out. We were visiting our college daughter this weekend. Hoping to take our other daughter too next time we visit SD.

Such great, fresh, quality ingredients. Definitely get the charcuterie board as an appetizer! Delicious. The pasta even impressed my anti-Italian food husband. We loved it.
