Very interesting place. Pretty much everything under the sun with food.
We enjoyed strolling through the many shops at Casa de Reyes and ended up enjoying lunch. The restaurant was central to all of the shops, making it feel as if you were actually in a Cantina courtyard in Mexico. The food was very good with plenty of chips and salsa. Even though it was very busy, our drinks and chips came straight away, followed quickly with our meal. This place is a must-see if you're in "Old Town "
It is a good restaurant, now they have the theme of the day of the dead and the decoration is spectacular, highly recommended to spend an entire afternoon because they have live music and the atmosphere is very festive.
The food, I didn't think it was anything extraordinary, it is the food you will find in all Mexican restaurants. I recommend the traditional chicken soup, it was very delicious.
The service is very good, although I had to wait a long time to be attended to, the service was great.
Love the atmosphere here, there are shops, small food vendors, and usually some live music. The food here changes seasonally and they even had some Christmas specials for us. The service is very fast but they don’t take reservations so sometimes there can be a wait but it’s always worth it! Love the fajitas, quesadillas, and mole here
Fantastic food, friendly staff, fast service. Reasonably price for the food. Very good. Staff also knew what was vegan and what was not. I got the vegetable fajitas which was enough for two people! Home made chips and salsa and guac topped it off.
This place is busy, the service is fast, food comes out fast but not as hot as one would like. The serving are good size. Live music and shops to visit after your meal. Walk old town as it’s right out side of the restaurant
Let's start with the drinks. I had a margarita, and they were very popular amongst my table members. They were very good, but they were a little bit too light for my liking, not enough alcohol. The serving size was a problem for me, because I had the fajitas, and there just wasn't enough, I'll be honest. For the other people at my table, they had enough food on their dish, so I just believe I got unlucky 😂. The food itself was good, and I will give it four stars. The service was good, not quick and speedy, but good overall. The atmosphere was great, everybody was happy and the servers were nice. I had a great time altogether, thank you casa de Reyes for a fun time! 4 out of 5 stars.
We dined here on a busy Saturday evening. Band was playing and people were dancing. We were told that wait time to get seated outside was over one hour. Or we could be seated inside the restaurant at once. We chose to eat inside where it was much quieter. Our food order was taken by a friendly staff who periodically checked on us making sure that we are having great dining experience. We ordered rice, beans and chicken enchiladas and also chicken in mole sauce. Food was served in generous portions and tasted great. Gluten-free options were also available.
Overall amazing food and pretty authentic! Our server was not very personable but I also understand we went on a busy night. Amazing and unique atmosphere.
I adore this place!! I had an incredible breakfast here a few months ago and recently I had an amazing dinner with fantastic Christmas decor and wonderful live music ❤️ I can't wait to return!
We had a stopover in San Diego for a few hours, walking around old town we found this place. Very charming. The food was good. Service was good price was reasonable.
