We had a great experience overall! We enjoyed the atmosphere , the flavorful food and the attentive staff! Would like to give a shout out to Sara, Dennis and the rest of the staff for a wonderful evening and for making Michael’s birthday memorable.
PS: I forgot to take a picture of the bone-in ribeye: can’t take that knife and fork away from Michael

I reserved a table for 12 people. The host walked upstairs to a private room, I was not expecting that. The room was very cozy with a fire pit and every wall filled with wine bottles. My family was very surprised, our servers name was Bryan. He was very very attentive, very professional and welcoming. My family and myself enjoyed the whole experience. The food was 10/10, salmon, ribeye steak, Mac and cheese for the kids. Bryan was also nice enough to help us down the stairs with our stroller. We will definitely be returning!

Had dinner with friends/family tonight. Thomas was AMAZING!! Tje food was great. The restaurant upstairs was beautiful. The service was top-notch. Thomas was attentive and was very knowledgeable about the cuts of meats as well as the restaurant. I also enjoyed a glass of non alcoholic wine. It was very dry but good. The Filet Mignon was GREAT!!.Everything was PERFECT.

Had a great evening celebrating our anniversary. Had the tomahawk steak which was cooked to perfection. Loved the art deco atmosphere which is different than most steak houses. Sara and Michael as well as the rest of the staff were amazing

Bryan was THE BEST server I have ever encountered. From great wine pairings and food recommendations, he was extremely knowledgeable. He made sure my best friend had the best birthday ever. He was kind, intelligent and his customer service was out of this world . We cannot wait to come back and see him again. Thank you Bryan!!!

Thanks to Sara, Priscilla, Eric, Brooke and the rest of the team for literally the best restaurant experience of my life! The wine, appetizers, Japanese steak, dessert and more were exceptional! Highly recommend!

Celebrated my anniversary there. All the food was delicious except the chop I got for my meal was overcooked. Presentations of the food were displayed nicely.

The experience and service at Greystone was by far one of the best! The food was amazing! We tried some new things off the menu. I recommend the seared tuna. Drinks were also fabulous and prepared to the finest. Priscilla the bartender was excellent and super friendly! During our meal Sara came to check on us and made sure everything was up to par. Her demeanor and presence made the whole experience wonderful! I will be back again. Thank you Greystone especially Sara and Priscilla for making my first time memorable!

This place is top notch. Everything was perfect, the filet was scrumptious and the lamb leg melted like butter. The green beans were so good and the cocktails were invigorating. The service was sophisticated and the ambience splendid. This place is a must go luxury steakhouse!!

Desirae our server was amazing, and Sara the Manager was also amazing and paid attention to every detail. We came for our anniversary (4 time we've been here) they sat us by the fire place 🔥 and they both went out of their way to make it a special dinner. We will definitely be back!

Michael was amazing!! Perfect service, extremely patient and helpful. Loved the food. We were next to an extremely loud table with lots of cursing, that would be my only complaint and that’s not towards the restaurant!! Otherwise, amazing time.

My husband and I having a weekend getaway in San Diego and just chose a random place that actually look good and Greystone sure not disappointed.
Reservation would be recommended because we were there on Friday evening and they are quite busy.
We got seated on the second floor which Michael was our server.Service is outstanding, nice, friendly and always make sure that we’re taking care of.Not
Only our server though,All those staffs that brought our food are awesome also,Good job guys!
Now the most important parts,Let’s talk about food.
We got fried calamari and wedge salad that split in 2 small plates so we can shared. Both are awesome! Calamari was fresh and crispy the way I asked for and veggies in the wedge salad was so fresh and good amount of dressing on it.
For our main course we got Tomahawk Steak which we add 4 scallops and the mushroom for the side dish.We asked for medium for our steak and we got medium (What else could you ask for from a steak place?! Which most of the time you did not get the right cook that you want but this place sure not disappointed.By the way,I add the peppercorn sauce on the side for our steak also and it’s good sauce.I like it.
Just one thing though,If you wanna order Tomahawk,Make sure you are willing to wait because it’s take a long time to make.Take it slow with your starter would help.
Are we coming back to this place?! Hell Yes Who wouldn’t!

We chose Greystone for our anniversary and it was great.
We ordered the oysters Rockefeller which we never tried before and we absolutely loved it. The combination of the cheese, bacon and oyster worked so well together. Next we got the fried calamari which you can never go wrong with. This was no exception as it was nice and crispy, and came with shishito peppers. Lastly for the main course we got the tomahawk steak, they seasoned and cooked it perfectly. Meat almost melted in our mouths. The steak was delicious but was pricey at $150 MP. It's definitely something to get for a special occasion but not something I would buy often.
The server we had was knowledgeable and explained everything to us. We mentioned it was our anniversary and he gave us a free dessert.
Overall we had a great experience, ambiance was nice as it was right in Gaslamp.

The Chef’s tasting menu was a delightful blend of flavor profiles that achieves what is rarely seen at a true fine dining experience; portions that demand a takeout box. The service staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and skillfully attentive to the occasion.

Food was wonderful. We had the tomahawk steak and mashed potatoes and it was juicy and well cooked

Had an amazing experience at Graystone.
Took a large party out and had a set menu.
From before I even sat down, I was impressed with Graystone. I booked a large party the day before and they accepted the booking on short notice. They even offered to print our company logos on the menu!
The hostess and server were very helpful and attentive, even the manager came by to greet us and ask if everything went ok.
For dinner we had a set menu...
Started with Oysters on a half shell and Rockefeller style, both tasted great. Also had crab cakes which were very very good.
My first couse was Asparagus Soup, didn't know how it would taste but I was surprised by how flavorful and balanced it was.
Next I had the Bison Tenderloin which was amazing! It had great, deep flavor and went well with the sauce. I also tried the Miso salmon which tasted nice.
Finally, the chocolate mousse cake was good.
Overall we had a really great time and will definitely book this again when I'm in town. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was great. Thank you!!

Greystone Steakhouse is, hands down, one of the best places I have eaten, and one of the best customer service experiences I have received! Let me begin with the obvious in saying that their dry aged steaks (aged 21 days in-house) are complex in flavor and cooked perfectly! The food presentation is neat and intentional, and the ambience is great. You are going to pay for the quality but is absolutely, absolutely, worth it!
The staff, Gabe, Cannon, and Sara, were awesome! They were warm and friendly, and were authentically involved in creating an experience, not just a meal, especially for our celebration for my wife's birthday! My friends and me and my wife will definitely be returning, and bringing more friends!

While the location of the restaurant is on one of San Diego's most electrifying streets, there is absolutely no public parking within blocks from the dining area. They do offer valet parking, however the vehicle drop off is also about a block away which will only be found by previously knowing where it was at. After circling the long downtown blocks a couple times we finally found a neighboring restaurants valet which welcomed public parking. Upon arrival we were greeted by a friendly hostess who after quickly verifying our reservations pointed us towards a second hostess who then guided us to our table. Our server Melvin was great. He was very informative, and was able to answer any and all menu based questions. He was also quite funny which just made our overall dining experience very enjoyable. The customer service was outstanding however a portion of my meal was purposely left to continue to enjoy at home, the wait staff forgot to put it in our to go bag. When we got home we realized that a significant portion of my $85 steak was not in the bag. I immediately called them and they apologized and offered to hold the steak for me to return and pick it up. When i declined that offer they did credit my card for the inconvenience, which helped a little but still didn't completely eliminate my disappointment. We had reservations at 9:00 pm. We arrived about 5 minutes before that and were sitting at our table by 9:00. They brought out our appetizer first and allowed the perfect amount of time before our main dish arrived. We were finished eating and out the door by 10:15 all without ever feeling rushed. It was a beautiful venue filled with amazing artwork. Each wall seemed to have a different texture which i thought was pretty cool. There was also a giant glass see through wine cellar alongside a fireplace in the upstairs dining area. The downstairs dining area allowed for a look into the kitchen area. They also had a display area where you could see some of the dry aging meat process. The only downside in my opinion was the noise level. It was much louder for what you would expect from a fine dining establishment. I am very pleased to say that the food definitely did not disappoint. We started the night with a fried calamari appetizer, which was a bit on the rubbery side but had amazing taste. The Lobster Spaghetti Diavolo was a huge dish that included a half pound live Maine lobster along with shrimp and calamari. The presentation of this dish was incredible. They serve the plate with the whole lobster which is sliced in half longways making all of the lobster meat extremely accessible. The lobster was butter soft and the dish itself was bursting with flavor. The chefs cut for the night was a 21 day dry aged tomahawk rib eye steak ordered medium rare. Now if you've never seen a tomahawk steak i will tell you now that this dish doesn't need much help with the presentation, the steak speaks for itself. The steak was not only well seasoned, it was also cooked to perfection. With a nice brown sear on the outside and an even pink all throughout the steak. It was an extremely tender cut and super juicy. Without a doubt one of the best steaks i have ever eaten. Our side dish was a garlic yukon potato puree that was shared and tasted quite well. I would highly recommend this restaurant!!

We purposely booked an early reservation...4 p.m. so we would receive the full attention of the kitchen staff. The waiter was excellent, and the menu was quite extensive with a large menu selection from their grille. One of their signature dishes is WAGYU beef (Japanese, Australian, and USA). The entire menu selection was properly explained as well as the "MARKET PRICE" for their wagyu beef. At $22.00 USD per ounce with a minimum ounce requirement, I opted for the SURF AND TURF combination: a lobster tail paired with a 6 oz. piece of Japanese WAGYU beef. We had a party of 5 people and we each ordered different menu items. Everyone's food, mine included, was served almost cold or slightly luke-warm. It was as if the waiter forgot our table's dinner and all the food sat at the kitchen counter for 10 minutes. We later found out that our waiter was sent to wait tables at another area, and our new waiter took a while to get to us!
We probably won't be going back bacause we spent over $700.00 USD and our food was marginally warm at best. However, even cold, the Japanese WAGYU beef was really outstanding and was tender enough to cut with a fork, and the flavor was totally out of this world and worth every Dollar spent.
Had our food arrived HOT from the kitchen, the restaurant would have received a 5-star rating.

Food was Amazing we went for my buddies birthday and i enjoyed every course, i had been here before and this sitting blew the other out of the water.....service was great , only thing little tricky was the water , they charge for bottle water it comes fast and often cause you pay for itand items not on the menu they did not disclose the price it can be a bit of a surprise but worth it if you ask me Japanese steak 1 oz ,1 tempura shrimp.boar sausage and 1 crab patty $38.......but other than that wow what a meal

Amazing food and Amazing Service! I would recommend this restaurant as a must try. Our server Gabe was on it! All of the staff that served us were on top of it. We had a party of 11 people and they were attentive to each of us.

This was by far one of best culinary experiences of my life! The prime filet tartare, ridge buffalo carpaccio and Greystone signature salad all had the most amazing flavors and textures that perfectly complimented one another! Our server, Jeremy, was genuine and outstanding! Our glasses were kept filled and courses were delivered with impeccable timing. Sara, the GM, checked with us several times and showed us hospitality at its finest! Our main course of American Wagyu was original, topped with blue cheese and bacon butter. The extensive selection of fine wines paired well with our courses, and my cocktail that started the evening could have served as a dessert. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to splurge and pamper themselves for an evening!

Delicious food, great cocktails and excellent service. This was our last dinner during a recent fortnight's holiday in California and although we ate well everywhere, the Greystone stood out and was the best meal we had. I am gluten intolerant and was very impressed by the range of dishes which were suitable for me and appreciated having them marked on the menu.

Excellent Service and Even better food. This place went above and beyond for our anniversary dinner visit. The steak is beyond delicious and the pancetta mac n cheese is so decadent....service is impeccable and attentive. Atmosphere is classy. Well worth the trip. We could not have asked for more.

An exquisite meal expertly prepared punctuated by impeccable service. We dined at Greystone for the first time this past Saturday. What a treat! Of course the food was perfect in every way but what really stood out was the highly attentive staff and how effortlessly they created an atmosphere of warmth and familiarity. Even though we’d never been before, we were doted upon like old friends. To do that and not have it feel forced is a difficult thing to pull off. I emphatically endorse and highly recommend Greystone to anyone who loves good food and first-class service. Also, get the bread pudding. It will change your life!

Celebrated anniversary here and we were blown away. We are local and this is a beautiful local steakhouse. Tried elk chop and the dry aged steaks. For appetizer we wanted to try a few ounces of the wagyu and the Japanese wagyu was out of this world
The service and the ambiance was excellent and inviting .

My husband and I went to Greystone for dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had reservations, when we arrived they had our table ready by the fireplace decorated with rose petals. The food was delicious and our waiter Marco made us feel like VIP's. The other staff members came by to congratulate us and they to made our experience pleasurable as well. I would recommend this restaurant.

We had the market price steak and it was the best tasty steak we ever had. We were please with everything at this restaurant. That porterhouse steak was more than enough to feed three people. Next time I visit San Deigo I will eat there again!!! Wonderful wait staff too.

After coming here a second time, it defiantly made our experience there better than the first time. We were greeted by the Director of Operation, "Sara Arjmand" and she escorted us to the best seat in the house.
I fell in love with the setting of the place as well as the cohesiveness of the staff members who believe in customer experience. This restaurant is appropriate for any setting/event, and I strongly recommend it.

This is only our second time visiting San Diego, and our second time visiting Greystone. It's now a tradition. Why would I go to San Diego and not visit this amazing steakhouse? The service is fantastic; attentive to your every need. Great little purse caddy for the ladies... they think of everything. I had the Aged Filet and it was so delish. I normally ask for horseradish, but I couldn't bare to alter the flavor... so good! Now, the baked potatoe.... who writes about a potato right? But it was cooked to perfection, so fluffy and just the right amount of condiments to set it off. Yum! Don't even get me started on the chocolate molten lava cake..... wow, so decadent. Thank you to Sara who made us feel like royalty from the moment we walked in the door. Do not miss an opportunity to dine here folks.... It's outstanding!!
