We had an amazing time celebrating my 25th birthday at Coasterra. The wait for the table by the water was so worth it. Our wait staff was prompt and friendly and the food was amazing. I definitely recommend coming here for a special occasion.
The view is amazing! Excellent service, our servers made sure we were well taken care of at all times. Every employee we passed, when leaving took time to thank us for coming in. I had the chile relleno and I must say it was the most extraordinary dish I've ever tried, garnished with many wonderful ingredients; portion extremely generous enough for two to share.
This is my second time here. This place has a beautiful view of the San Diego skyline. The food is delicious. Although it's a little pricey, is worth it due to the quality of the food, the service, and the atmosphere. I do recommend this place for a special location or for a nice date.
Coasterra is a fantastic place for any occasion, especially celebrations, though! Whether date night, friend groups, or family time. The food is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! The fried calamari is perfect, the drinks are delicious, and the atmosphere is A1. Most tables have a solid view of the bay, but the tables closest to the walkway have the best views. I ordered the chicken, and it was THE BEST chicken I've ever had a restaurant, EVER! The butter cake was delicious as well. After dinner, take a walk around the restaurant, then come back and enjoy coffee or a drink. This was an unforgettable experience! Enjoy!
The view of the bay, downtown, and the Coronado bridge from your table makes for an incredible setting for your lunch/dinner.
The white corn & poblano soup is a must! We always get a bowl and split it as a starter. I also love the blood orange scallop aguachile for an appetizer. It’s the perfect blend of sweet and spicy.
What a terrific lunch. Melinda was our server and she was awesome. She knew the menu and gave us outstanding recommendations. The margaritas were skinny, spicy, and blood orange. The chips, guacamole and salsa could have been the total meal. We had the perfect table, but really, there is no bad table there. Perfect day!
Went for an early lunch, we were greeted by an amazing server named Jared. The calamari with jalapeños and spicy chipotle sauce were great appetizers. The drinks were flavorful and well made by the bartender. The flexibility on the menu is to your benefit when ordering tacos . Try the corn shrimp tacos in lettuce very fresh and palette pleasing on a hot day. Fish tacos were very filling and tasty as well. Please do yourself a favor leave room to share dessert the cake, pineapple, and cinnamon ice cream and a side of some of the best banana ice cream on the planet. Jared knows the menu is very attentive, and I will request on my next visit
Had lunch here. If your are looking for a great spot close to the airport, this place is great. Great outside seating. Enormous portions. Great quality food.
The service is the best part. Special mention goes to Melida for great service and Kyle for the most considerate seating I’ve seen in a while.
This place lived to the expectations. The food tastes very authentic, the drinks were very well balanced and the ambiance is exactly what you would expect from a beach city.
I definitely recommend and can’t wait to try their dinner menu next time! If you are in San Diego, this is a must!
The view of the San Diego skyline was amazing from the table. The food was really good. I loved the shrimp tacos and rainbow trout. Thank you!
The view and ambiance at this restaurant is top shelf. The service is pretty good, our waiter was not the friendliest we have had and had a bit of a dismissive style. My wife and I came with another couple and started with 4 margarita, which were amazing and are highly recommended, also a good portion size. We had two starters, first was the empanadas, which were not very good and I recommend you skip these. The tuna starter was large and delicious and I highly recommend. For the main, we ordered salmon, chicken, and scallops. The salmon came with a mole, which was the highlight, quinoa, and a picked zucchini. The salmon was over cooked, and a bit mushy. My wife’s scallops were large and very tasty, she recommends. My friend had bone-in chicken which was large portion, succulent, and delicious. Overall, I think I do recommend trying Coasterra, but there are opportunities for them to improve.
This is my second time enjoying Cosaterra.
