I am absolutely in LOVE with Harney Sushi! My boyfriend took me here for the first time for my birthday and it was a lovely experience! We arrived at 5:45pm and was able to get a table at the outdoor patio which is so romantic and chill! We got there just in time before Happy Hour ended at 6pm and our server Kyshon gave us the most outstanding service! He was super friendly, professional, gave recommendations on the menu and we enjoyed chatting with him throughout our meal! We started with the Happy Hour $5 gyoza, Beer & sake, tuna belly, albacore nigiri and ended with salmon nigiri. We split a YUMMY Dragon roll and I had a cup of miso. I highly recommend getting a table in the outdoor patio if you can. So lovely. Can’t wait to go back.
Small but filling vegetarian section. Good food and flavor. Slightly weird to have an aquarium at a sushi spot and the booth seats are uncomfortable.
No TVs in case you’re looking to watch the game.
My husband and I went to Harney’s tonight and loved it! The food was absolutely delicious and had such unique flavors. The owner, Sam, was so friendly and kind, too! You’ve got to try it!
Love this place. Waited til my second visit to do a review, had to make sure it wasn't hit and miss, and it did not disappoint. The Rollz Royce was my favorite roll, good crunch and flavor. The Katsu Chicken does not dissatisfy, probably the best I've had.
Hadn’t been in a long time and decided to go back but try the happy hour menu which was better than several other sushi places I know with a few options. I recommend the salad sampler, the half and half roll, and to wash it down with a flavored sake vase. The sashimi was dry. We got some handrolls from the regular menu which we were not impressed by except that they do make sure that seaweed wrap stays crispy.
The sushi was amazing, vibe was great, music selection was good and the service was phenomenal. I could go on and on about how good this place was for myself and my family but then you’d be too busy ready instead of going to the restaurant. They do take reservations and i recommend doing so. What you see in the pictures is the James Bond roll, garlic edamame, fried calamari and the black cod roll. If you’re still reading this someone probably took your reservation spot so hurry up and reserve your table because amazing sushi awaits you!!!
The food at this place is very good. They have a nice selection of sake and interesting roll combinations. The fish is fresh.

Finally got a chance to try @harneysushi and it was everything I've heard about!
After the 3rd try, we made it! Parking is tough in Old Town most nights and weekends and the interior is pretty small..... BUT the sushi made up for it! Totally worth it. Amazingly the food came out Super quick also. I'm talking less than 10 minutes for 4 rolls!
They also now take reservations via @yelpsandiego which is a huge WIN!

The male waiter was the only pleasant person in the restaurant. The rest just seemed like they didn't want to be there and came off as rude. Otherwise I'd give this establishment 5 Stars, but the Team their didn't deliver on the experience.

Came by and had a delightful dinner with some friends.
Has a very intimate, cozy, and romantic atmosphere to it.
Service was on point, the staff was excellent. The food was matching in quality to the price point, definitely expect to spend some money here, but worth every penny!
