Food is really good. Service was friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere has nothing to do with Guam sadly.
Absolutely delicious food! Chamorro grill is an amazing hole in the wall with great service and delicious food. The prices are comparable to the location and the quantity of food is good enough to satisfy the hungers of any person.
Personal favorites are John’s teriyaki chicken and the empanadas.
The grill can get busy around lunch time so it is recommended to call ahead or have time to sit and wait (15-20 min on a slow day). Have gone three times and have not been disappointed yet.
Highly recommend you give it a shot and take an appetite.
If you are stuck at Kaiser for an unfortunate accident then you have to venture down to this restaurant. It's very close by and is a great alternative to the hospital food.
The entire restaurant staff is very friendly and went above and beyond to prepare the meal for my wife. This level of customer service is amazing and refreshing.
Foodwise, everything was a hit. BBQ Beef, Spam, Adobo Pork , Red Rice. You just have to experience this place.
Fantastic As Usual!! Beef strips- so tender. Chicken moist and full of flavor.
Great homemade macaroni salad!! So much food. Lunch tomorrow!
Bought 4 dinners for family 7/20. Everyone enjoyed and remarked how good it was.
Recently visited 5/20/22 Friday
Brought coworker to late lunch inside.
Ordered combo plates.. Very tasty chicken and beef .. side of empanada ..
Empanada was really good.. tasty. The only thing I tasted differently (since last review) was the kimchee daigo was not same strength as the 1st. The "base" was a bit off.. possibly from cucumbers. It was ok.. not as spot on as before.
Also tried mac salad side.. possibly a little more work there is needed. Next to try will be the shrimp patty.. forgot to order it. Otherwise all else was great. Friendly local atmosphere. Outside seating available. A must try for anyone looking for island style cusine.
Thru Uber eats delivery. I must say years ago when I first moved to San Diego I was totally Unhappy with the food and never went back..being a Chamorro myself I tend to be picky about 'Local' foods. This time since way back I must say my Pork Rib and beef combo was very good. What a difference since back then. I will give other choices a try as well. I am not too fond of clear pancit noodles. I prefer original Guam style Pancit. I will be coming back and probably introducing some Cali friends in the neighborhood to this place. PS.. the kimchee diago cucumber was well prepared too. No complaints there.
We found this gem in San Diego!! So good and authentic!! They have Guamanian, Filipino, Vietnamese, Hawaiian, and Japanese food . Its clean, super cute, and they were playing Ekolu!! And other island music;)
Ordered the mix combo plate which is popular! Chicken Kelaguen, BBQ Chicken, Red Rice, Macaroni Salad, Finadene Sauce! Food was good. I dined in, food was ready in 10 minutes. Chicken Kelaguen had a lil kick to it!
I already gave a review. They changed their recipe for pancit. They use glass noodles, which I dont like and added I think bell peppers. I never had pancit with bell peppers in it. It was horrible! The ribs were good tho. But I will never eat pancit here again!
The food was great! I am normally picky when it comes to Chamorro food because if you know how to make it yourself, you can’t help but compare. The food here was delicious though. The red rice you could probably eat by itself. The chicken kelaguen was chunky, just how I like it. They were generous as well with their tasty empanada filling. The marination for their meat was great as well. I had the short rib and spare rib plate. I would definitely go here again to get a taste of Guam when visiting San Diego!
Love this place so much. Gives me the Saipan/Guam vibes. My go to spot during San Diego Comic Con. Red Rice is bomb! Pls have a store location in Los Angeles.
