Taqueria Vallarta

We stopped in around 3pm, well after the lunch rush and well before dinner. I liked the ambiance of the place and the waitress was polite and quick to take our orders and get our food out to us. The food itself tasted like it was leftover from dinner. The crispy taco & tostada shells were chewy and greasy, the rice was dry and crunchy, and I've gotten better enchiladas out of a frozen meal. I'm really hoping the poor meal experience was a result of the time of day that we dined because I really did like everything else about the place. I can't say I'll be going back anytime soon, though.

Horrible service. Over charge for plates. I ordered a regular burrito but they charged me for a jalisco burrito. My friend ordered a regular caldo but they charged him for the large. People walked out while we were there because they take to long. Carne asada meat is the cheapest you can get. Is all the meat with all nerves.. Very tough meat. Tortillas are not good at all. Never came back to ask use if we need refills... Just bad overall. I do not recommend this place at all.

Horrible first experience at this restaurant. The waitress was ok at first, but as more of our friends got there it seemed as if the service got worse. We get our drinks and order our food. When we get our food we realized they had shorted us about 6-7 tortillas. When we told the waitress she went about it with attitude and made it seem like we were lying. We then asked her how many tortillas come with a plate and she answered her own question. Our original waitress brought them to us then. We had to ask 3 times to different waitresses for a different sauce and took it upon ourselves to have to get it from another table. One of the friends that was there was eating one of the tortillas that was brought to us for the shortage, and she quickly stopped eating and said there was a bug. She turned the tortilla around and there was a huge bug smashed on it. We opened the box and the rest of it was on the tortilla under it. We refused to pay for our food. Worst service and horrible experience... Would not recommend to anyone..

(-----Minus 5 stars..)_WORSE place ever. We ordered avocado in taco(extra cost) thin as paper 1/2 slice ,toasted flour tortilla? Got a cracker chalupa as a taco.burned. asked for white meat in soup, got dark, asked for napkins, got 2or 3 lil long ones, type from dispenser.had to ask 3x for more. Table was never attended until we called,mind you it wasn't busy.girls were by kitchen window just standing . I can go on, but am going to get UPSET. So, those whom love this PLACE, must be for the young girls there or have no idea of the much BETTER PLACES in area. All I can say, I left $1 top out of pity for the girl. Service needed improvement, cook needs training, and new Mgr.

Waitress was great!! SHE GETS 5 STARS FOOD IN THE OTHER HAND 1 STAR,NOT GOOD. SEEMS LIKE THE FOOD WAS PRE-COOKED BEFORE YOU GET THERE. HUEVOS RANCHERROS WHERE COLD & AND THEY DIDN'T EVEN COOKED THEM RIGHT. TOLD THEM OVER EASY. ALSO ORDERED A SIDE OF BACON. BACON WAS OLD & HARD. THEY HAVE A PRE-COOK STATION THAT DOESN'T EVEN HAVE HEATER TO KEEP FOOD HOT. REAL DISAPPOINTMENT!
