Restaurant Cubano Guajiras

The food is amazing, I'm Cuban -born and raised - and this is authentic Cuban food with the exquisite taste that brings memoties with every bite. Service is great!! We found it while searching for Cuban food in Google and in a week we had come twice. The owner came out to meet us and sat with us. I would recommend this restaurant at anytime!!!!

Food is absolutely amazing! Service is absolutely terrible tho. If you can get passed waiting to be served, the food itself was delicious. Try the yucca to start. The Ropa Vieja and the Cuban steak were both really good. Plates are served with white rice, plantain chips, black beans and a salad. Lots of food. If they can get their service down, this place can really be a hit!

This food was by far the best Cuban I've had in San Antonio since I moved here from South Florida. Service was fast and the owner/waitress was extremely nice. So glad the chef was Cuban because the food is authentic and so flavorful. The Cuban sandwich and the ropa vieja were made perfectly. And the arroz negrito is so good! Can't wait to come back and try more things on the menu. Great Cuban food made by Cubans! The location has ample seating and is very clean.

The real deal here ladies and gentlemen. They tend to have to music a little TOO LOUD, but it's very clean and the food is delicious. My wife ordered the chicken and I ordered the Ropa Vieja. The chicken was fried to a night flavor rich and crispy skin while leaving the meat moist and juicy. The Ropa Vieja is just packed with flavor and very juicy. It's at that level of deliciousness where you just wanna suck all the juices outta the meat😁 (If you've eat GOOD Ropa Vieja, then you understand😉). Highly recommend this joint....just take some cottonballs for your ears😂😂🤣.

In search of good Cuban food in San Antonio, fairly new resident here. Born and raised in south Florida and used to eating Cuban food so we tried this restaurant. Restaurant seemed pretty clean, enjoyed the music. The server was not very friendly but did seem very busy with two tables. Seating was prompt and drinks were served promptly. For the appetizer, we were hoping for fresh made mariquitas and got store bought mariquitas. Dinner did take a little while to be served and was not hot. I ordered the ropa vieja which was delicious, probably some of the best I’ve ever had. However the white rice was the wrong type, tostones were a little on the cold side and seemed to be reheated...not fresh, no crisp. Not sure if we will be back.

I grew up in Florida eating Cuban food all childhood this place really hits the spot! The food is amazing, the waitress was so friendly and sweet. The prices are very fair! I've gone twice this past weekend. It's delicious and fresh and the plate presentation was beautiful good atmosphere and friendly staff! I recommend the Ropa Veija if you go!

Excelente! I had their 'House Special", Guajira Chicken, the chicken was well cooked (guisado, not fried), rich in flavor, rice was very well cooked and the beans just as well with rich taste of Caribbean spices, the amount of salad they serve, especially with the slices of avocado and the portion of food justifies the $9.99 tag price on it, it deserves every cent of the price for the amount of food (I normally eat a lot but this plate two people can easily eat from!). I tried a separate order of 'maduros' (fried sweet plantain) and it was delicious and plenty. Two thumbs up! Also tried their 'batida' (shake) made with milk (not ice cream) and fruit. We were a party of 4 so we had three different flavors to try, Mango, Guava and Strawberry, unfortunately they were out of Guanabana (soursop) which means it is just as delicious as the other ones (probably more popular too!). They got 8 thumbs up! (Party of 4).

We went to this restaurant with friends. As a cuban , I can say meal taste was good, however rice and meat was too reduced compare to the overload of salad served. I will suggest to get a better portion of protein, salad and carbs (rice) but also provide some quick bite such as bread/toast with butter before costumers order their meals. Good luck paisanos!
