It was my first time trying Birria Soup made with goat meat. The desserts were a great finish, and overall, I am satisfied.
Grateful to have a stumbled on this place! The food was delightful and authentic. Loved the blue corn chips and salsas too but unfortunately they do charge for them not a huge deal but kinda a bummer since most places serve them as a courtesy. The service was attentive, helpful, and pleasant. We will definitely return to try more things on the menu or more of their Mole!! 😋
Fantastic lunch! Servers were excellent and personable. Homemade soup was very good. Pork and chicken dishes were awesome. The beans were the best I ever had. The cold salad (looks like green beans) is not something I would normally eat but was good. Highly recommend.
Amazing Mexican Food! I had the Cochinita Pibil Huaraches, it was phenomenal. The house soup that came with it was exactly what I needed to warm up and the salsas were the right type of spicy. The restaurent is also VERY cute.
Great authentic Mexican food. The flavors are authentic, just like Mexican homemade food. The cafe de olla was perfect, really recommend it. I had the machacada plate and it was good, the meat was not salty like other restaurants. I enjoyed this spot very much. Recommended if you are looking for authentic Mexican food, not tex-mex.
This is the best Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to in San Antonio. The wait staff is so amazing 🤩 I have been to Cascabel since I was a baby and I have always enjoyed their enchiladas.

Cafe de ollo was delicious! Great spot for brunch. Very attentive staff. Seating indoor and outdoor available. Paid parking was available in the lot next door for $10. Was able to handle dietary restrictions like vegetarian, vegan and gluten free.
Patio is nice and fresh. Pozole and Caldo Tlalpeño were great. One disappointment was the agua the Jamaica, it was closer to purple kool-aid (very sweet and very little Jamaica flavor) but at least it kids really like it. Bathrooms need a little love.
Nice place for a tasty snack. Service was quick, portions a little on the small side. Very tasty though, if you just want a small, tasty quick bite.
Cozy place with big flavors and big outdoor patio!
I ordered a birria (goat) soup ($12.50), because, well, it was cloudy and the weather called for it. The soup bowl was loaded with meat! Add a side of home made corn tortillas, a bit of cilantro, onion and a squeeze of lime and honestly, probably one of the better soups I've had this side of the border.
My wife ordered Tlacoyos with beef Tinga. Frankly, I've never heard of Tlacoyos before and I've only had chicken tinga so this was quite different. A good different.
Service was very prompt. Outdoor patio was room with about 8 tables seating 4-6 people. One downside; insects. But, hey this is Texas. One other thing is I didn't see an alcohol menu, so not sure if there is alcohol or not. Other than that check this place out. Happy eating!!
