Luby's

My daughter brought me the cheese enchiladas, Spanish rice and cornbread. Oh my Goodness!! The enchiladas were out of this world!!! My first time to have them and definitely will not be my last. What a pleasant surprise!! I wanted to add some salt to my rice but I didn't. Still very flavorful. Thank you, Luby's!!

I had the most PLEASANT experience EVER with your server Ms Ruby!!!! NEVER BEFORE had someone made me feel like home there at Luby's!!She was awesome!!! Everyone can take a lesson from Ms Ruby!! I don't know if any of your bosses will read my review but I'll tell you what if they do Lord I hope they give you a raise or some type of acknowledgement because you, Ms Ruby are 100% awesome.. even though my order was to go.. you packed my son's and I lunch with loving care I could just feel it!!! Hats off to you Ma'am!!!!

My parents and I were at Luby’s this morning and were very happy with the staff and their friendliness. The food was delicious and we were served quite a bit! I called and asked to speak with the manager to give my compliments but I guess he/she was busy as I held to long but I definitely wanted to give my review.

Last time we were at luby s they had discontinued salads and some others items but they have since added them back. Now they are prepackaged so they are not dishing them up. This really seems better. They have changed things so people can not reach in and grab things which is the way it always should have been. They also increased staff so it is much more efficient. The quality of the food was good and plentiful. Staff was friendly and helpful. I feel comfortable recommending it now and am glad we have it a second try.

Love the Mecca! Perfect for everyone in the family! The service here was excellent and the food does not ever disappoint (especially the chicken fried steak)! My daughter loves it here as well! She's only 6 years old and has been coming here since she learned how to eat solid foods. She considers herself a "Mecca Veteran"!

Luby’s as a chain is pretty good. The fried fish is the best. This location though isn’t the most amazing when it comes to service and cleanliness however. I have seen dead baby roaches. Another time I had to wait for some fresh fried fish and it never was brought to me so I went and asked for it. Not a huge deal. Other wise they are fine.

I hadn’t been to a Luby’s in years and this experience made me regret not going more often. I used to go to Luby’s all the time as a kid and as I got older I kind of drifted away from it. Last Sunday I saw it as I was out and about and decided to stop for lunch. The service was exceptional, the food was delicious, and everything in the restaurant was very clean. There were two things that made me give a 4 star instead of 5: first, the cornbread was AWFUL. No flavor and was extremely dry. It honestly tasted like a big cornbread crouton that was a week old. Also, the prices for a regular plate are somewhat reasonable but extras are very expense. $5 for a slice of cake, $2 for a cookie, basically have to add 50% of your meal price if you want to get an additional side. So stick to the traditional one entree and 2 sides and you’ll be good. Overall a great experience and I fully plan on coming back!
