Pho Plus

Two of us eating at 6:30. Busy serving takeouts and plenty open seating. Service provided immediately and we had flavored milk tea. Orders were pho with chicken and a beef bowl with egg roll. Service was prompt and the food was delicious. Restaurant is small, but staff and food are very good. Restaurant may be hard to spot, it is just east and of and on the same side of Austin Highway as the HEB .

This is just a basic little mom & pop restaurant, but the food was great and so was the service. The brisket pho was not overcooked and the veggies (bean sprouts, cilantro, limes) were fresh and plentiful. My lunch mate's pork bun bowl was also very fresh and she said very flavorful as well. Spring roll was super fresh and fried egg roll was piping hot and crispy. Prices were very reasonable, especially given how much food costs have gone up with inflation. The husband and wife owners were very sweet and helpful. Overall, a nice surprise to find this spot in the middle of the otherwise depressing Austin Highway mess.

The food is from good to amazing, but always consistent. The outside makes this place seem like a hole in the wall, until you go inside and find the absolute cleanest restaurant (can't speak for the kitchen) with the most boring decor. Still, the staff are pretty great and friendly and the food is great, so who cares if it's a bit boring inside?
