This place is bigger than it looks. They have to separate buildings plus a huge out patio with a stage. They host private parties. The food is delicious. The burgers are big and juicy! The homemade fries are tasty. Service was fast. Employees were friendly.
Stopped in today after not having eaten here in few years and was pleasantly surprised. It has really grown in both size and popularity. The service is excellent. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is great. Had burgers and fries and they were not only delicious but huge. This is one those no frills quality kind of place with a fun vibe. Didn't have any drinks but instead opted for ice tea, but they have a full bar with a great selection of beers and drinks. I feel obligated to mention that because of the popularity, it can get very busy and it may be a little difficult to find a table inside however they do offer outdoor seating. Maybe plan a visit at an off-peak time. If not, be patient it's worth the wait. Plenty of parking with a couple of overflow lots. Will be back.
Best burgers in town! Must try spot if you love a great burger! Always a delicious good time! Happy hour starts at 3 pm.
They also have a very large private room! Great for parties and gatherings!
I can't believe I never wrote a review! We come here once and awhile and are never disappointed! The food is always hot and fresh with amazing flavors. My favorite are the homemade fries and bean and cheese nachos.
Great quality burgers and great quality taste. These are the best burgers hands down.
The staff was friendly, and the AC felt very comfortable to enjoy the meal, and the restrooms were clean.
A little pricey but worth it. Will definitely stop by again.
Here are the pros: the service was great! They bring the food out to your table, and the wait times weren’t that bad. The atmosphere was super chill: lots of whole families and people just out having a good time. Plus they give a military discount. My burger was great, but it did fall apart, so some people chopped theirs. Condiments are readily available.
Cons: they’re generous with the fries, but we felt the fries were a bit too greasy not quite flavorful enough. Maybe add some seasoning to those fries? Also, the nachos, while decent, weren’t what most people would picture when they think of nachos.
Overall, it’s a good place and I would recommend for friends who want a laid-back place to hang out and enjoy some good food.
Wanted a burger for lunch. I suggested Chris Madrid's. Hadn't really been there since it changed ownership and then the fire. The burger was great. I had the Flaming Jalapeño Cheddar burger. Had the perfect kick to it. It was spicy, but it wasn't where I couldn't enjoy it. A coworker had the Taco Salad (why if you're at a burger place 🤷🏽 but to each his own. Look good also. It is a great time of year to order and eat outside since the weather is starting to cool down. Also good to have a cold beverage.
Great food in a great atmosphere. They have classic tasting burgers for good prices, and lots of different choices to pick from. I really liked their Cheddar Cheezy burger, it’s dense and flavor packed, and a regular (as opposed to the macho) is enough for a meal. It’s a choose your own seating with inside and outside. Good doesn’t take too long to come out, but there’s usually a line. Overall a good spot to grab a burger.
Great atmosphere! We were lucky To snag a booth inside. Burgers were good! We loved sharing the fries with the table!
Always a must visit when in San Antonio! My wife and I are from out of town and love making it to Chris Madrid's when we can. The tostada burger with refried beans, chips, and cheddar cheese is just the best! My wife gets the cheddar cheezey, which is a burger with cheddar, lettuce, tomato, mustard, etc. The fries are amazing!! Great food as always!!
