The Concrete Jungle is an awesome escape to a strange land in the midst of a rapidly changing neighborhood. Run by a gang of local food & drink genies, you get the feeling you might meet anyone from Hemingway to Kahlo sipping an opulent bev in this lowkey watering hole. Sweetest secret by far hidden just down the road from the blown-up joints in Southtown.

My friend and I absolutely love this place. We live about half an hour from San Antonio. We don't come into town often, but When we find ourselves in the area, stopping by the concrete jungle to enjoy one of their many delicious tiki drinks is a must. Bartenders are very polite and friendly. The theme of the bar is more tropical than the drinks that it will make you feel like you walked off the shore much less than south presa to get there. If you haven't been here, I strongly recommend stopping by. It's the shortest trip to an island getaway you will ever take from San Antonio.
