I came here for a solo semi-staycation. I can’t recommend a better place to come on a date with yourself. Order the steak and a beautiful cab sav, and you’ll have a great time!

This place is vintage, and with its dark academic style, it's so cool. It's right off the River Walk, and the dim lights cast a nostalgic atmosphere. The bar is downstairs, and its "old school basement party dark," red lights and all. I dig it!
The bartender in the basement makes a mean mojito.
The food is very good. The bathrooms are outside in a building next to the restaurant, and maybe the kitchen. They do have a parking lot. If you're in a wheelchair, call ahead to make sure they can accommodate you safely. Make a reservation. I will eat here again. My pictures aren't the best due to the lighting and too many mojitos.

Initially I heard very mixed reviews, but after visiting for brunch it proved to be stellar! Cuban hash with chorizo was amazing

The ambiance at OCHO in downtown San Antonio on the Riverwalk is perfect for a romantic evening or a delightful family gathering. It’s an intimate and charming spot where you can savor delicious dishes, particularly during brunch. Just make aure you get a reservation.

Went for dinner on a Saturday night. Beautiful location, perfect for date night. Our server made awesome drink recommendations (mojito called ocho & thyme will tale) and our meal was a delicious combination of flavors (Pollo en Tamarindo with a side of maduros). It's slightly on the pricier side but well worth it 👌

Fantastic cuban cuisine overlooking the Riverwalk. Best mussels I've had in San Antonio...adeptly cooked in a beer lime broth containing chorizo. The pistachio crusted Snapper served in a chipotle honey sauce was excellent with a topping of grilled shrimp and fresh avocado. The Maduros (plantains) come with a creamy lime pomegranate sauce and isn't labeled as a dessert, but proved to hit that end of the meal sweet spot perfectly.

Everything they offer is delicious. The atmosphere was calming and relaxing 😌 10/10 would go again. As a disclaimer to everyone, you get what you pay for. $$$$ and it's worth every penny.

Came in for a quick coctail and had a gin in tonic with muddled cucumber. Megan was our bartender, she was so polite and attentive, her drinks were eccentric and STRONG! Would recommend to a local or a tourist.

What a lovely setting! Many tables over look the river … almost transporting you out of the city. The food was wonderful. I enjoyed the pork shank - as tender as can be and flavorful. The steak was good, but it was a tad over cooked and could have been seasoned a little more. The side vegetables were lovely!

We loved Ocho! This place was great for breakfast or brunch. Food was excellent and wasn’t busy on a Friday morning. Right on the river walk, our view was stunning as we sipped coffee and eat some amazing food.
