Boss Bagel

Great bagels but be prepared to take the food to go because there is very limited seating at the restaurant. The bagels are crisp on the outside and super moist on the inside. There are 4 tofu schmears to choose from and they are all delicious. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because they are really bad at following the order directions. Each time I am there they toast the bagel when I tell them not to toast it or vice versa - every single time! This is despite the order being taken correctly. And the amount of schmear is very inconsistent - if you get it on the side you get a big cup of it but on the bagel it is quite literally barely there! At least that is my experience with the tofu schmear. The tables next to me seem to get gobs of dairy schmear and they didn't even have to pay the upcharge for the tofu option. Definitely a great bagel choice - I just have to start watching them make my order!

Best bagels in San Antonio! The rosemary red chili bagel is one of the best I’ve ever had. They have a wide variety of Schmears and different bagels as well. They offer breakfast sandwhiches with different meats and toppings. Their coffees drinks are excellent and made to order. If you’re in the area you Absolutely can’t miss it!

Love this place, the bagels are amazing, I love that you can watch them cook through the viewing glass. The line can get long, but that speaks to the love for Boss Bagel! They have a large assortment of cream cheese that is fun to try out on their delicious bagels or bagel sandwiches. I deducted a star solely because of one thing: when you wait in line, order your food and pay, they flip the iPad over to ask for a tip which they have programmed to START at 30%, then 25%, then 20%. Amazingly high default tip especially for the fact that you have not been served nor received your food. I find this practice tacky and uncomfortable. 5 starts otherwise but mentally prepare yourself as you stand in front of the cashier with no food in hand and no service rendered, to default to a 30% tip.

See Greg Minnick’s review and add a plus one. I do t know Greg but we must be kindred spirits because I am always on the hunt for a great bagel. This is the second best bagel I have ever had. And that is not a slight because my number one spot is the most off the chain bagel shop I have ever seen and is a bit of a pain to patronize. Thanks for the great bagel and cheerful service

First off, I love a good bagel. I search for and try to have a bagel in every city I visit. Ive had bagels from coast to coast including highly regarded stops in NYC. Let me tell ya, this place is the real deal. Their cream cheese selection is amazing and runs the gambit from spicy to sweet and a little of everything in between. They have a wide selection of different flavored bagels that can be made into sandwiches or enjoyed with one of their spreads. I had a bacon, ham, sausage, egg and cheese sandwich with jalapeno lime cream cheese on an everything bagel. Then I split a french toast bagel with bday cake cream cheese with my wife. Hands down the best bagels I can recall ever having. What made it even better, the baker stopped by the table with a basket of fresh from the oven plain bagels and gave us one to try hot. Fresh from the oven the skin was slightly crisp and the middle blazing hot and chewy. I was in bagel heaven. They take what they do seriously and their product is a reflection of that. To top it off they make great lattes and coffee drinks. I will miss this place when we leave and will certainly return if we end up back in San Antonio.

I am here almost weekly. Probably the best bagels in SA. I usually get plain but recently tried Rosemary Chili at the airport because it was the only flavor they had left (it was like 1pm)... HOLY COW. The flavor!! Seriously packed with amazing flavor!! I was blown away. The combination of rosemary and chili was something I never knew I'd love. Now I'm obsessing and hoping they never stop making that flavor!! I'll be devastated. The employees are always so nice. I drive across town weekly for these bagels. They also have tons of flavors of schmears. It's just a great place!

(10/23) Had another great experience with Boss Bagels. They delivered to us and the bagel sandwiches were so good! Tried the yardbird this time and loved it. Highly recommend. (10/22) We did a catering order with them and Katie the owner was so great as was the staff ! So on top of things and so nice! The bagel sandwiches were fantastic!! They were a hit with our team. Hardest part was deciding which one to get! Highly recommend!

This place never disappoints! We have been going for a couple of years now, and never have had an issue, both take out and dine in. The bagel sandwiches are outstanding and oh so tasty. The portions are huge and very filling. An excellent value. The staff is cheerful and helpful. We'll be back again.
