I never right reviews but I was reading them and got really frustrated. This is by far the best Korean restaurant I’ve been to. Unlike all of these restaurants other reviews I am Korean. This tastes just like authentic Korean food. I loved place by far myself and my family’s favorite Korean restaurant ever. The service was amazing she does all this herself and in 5 minutes we got both of our appetizers. I recommend This place if you want real Korean food, and not the American Korean bbq places.

I really enjoyed my experience at Chong’s Korean Restaurant. It’s a great little hole in the wall place with delicious food. I don’t know why there’s such negativity around the service because the owner (I assume Mrs. Chong herself) was very attentive and was perfectly sweet.
She even was very helpful in showing my friend and I the best way to enjoy the food and hold utensils since we are sort of newbies.
I think people go in expecting chain restaurants experience and that’s kind of a ridiculous expectation.
This is a great place, with wonderful food and a very cool lady running it all (seemingly) herself.
I will be coming back soon.
Look, at first appearance she might seem rude. She's 72 years old and is truly a sweetheart. The food is good. Lots of flavor. I'll definitely be back. She's very old school might take some getting used to. But I like original people. Not fake.
We have been going here for years and always had a great food experience. The bento boxes are great for the smaller appetite and when one is in a rush. The pork Begolki has been my go-to for years, delicious and plenty of it. Ask for the Kimchi cucumbers, and with a bit of luck, she will bring some. Don't expect the best service, she (the owner and chef) can be a bit harsh, but the food makes more than up for that.
Was my first time eating here. A pretty decent menu that includes most the items you would expect from any Korean Restaurant. The woman who runs the restaurant was taking orders, cooking, and serving the food the day we were there.
We ordered 2 plates of the bulgogi and a kimpop roll. Side dishes were a bit minimal, but everything had excellent flavor. Portions of the main entrees were good sized.
Service was great, prices were fair. I would definitely return here. If your in the area I would check out the lunch plates, they looked like a really good deal.
Nice little quaint restaurant. Feels like home. Chong is very friendly and an excellent chef. The food was spot on. Situated on the west side of town at 410 and Marbach, It's the only Korean restaurant over here. Hopefully it gains popularity.
4/5 stars: no alcohol, sad face. no soju or makgeolli.
Went for the first time and was happy with the delicious yaki mandu, Korean BBQ pork, and bulgogi. Excellent service by Mrs. Chong. I'm so happy this is close to my house! Definitely going to become regular customer.
We’ve tried a handful of Korean restaurants in SATX, but this is by far the best one here. It is the closest to the taste of Korean cuisine we get in Hawaii. We’ve tried their bibimbap, bulgogi, kimchi fried rice and our favorite, kalbi. Their banchan, or side dishes, are always delicious. Just wished we could get more. I’m not a huge fan of kimchi, but I actually love their kimchi.
It’s in an odd place/location, but this hole-in-the-wall find will definitely satisfy your Korean BNQ cravings. Also, keep in mind it’s not fast food and sometimes (usually) it’s just Mama Chong cooking in the kitchen - but the wait is worth the food.
Such a great place and would definitely recommend! Such delicious food T^T She was super sweet and helpful! For sure coming again(:
A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.! We got the Dukbokki, Gal Bi and Pork Bulgogi. And every single thing is delicious. I'll definitely come back and I HIGHLY recommend it.
