Tailgate Bistro

I really liked Back Unturned Brewing. Ordering a flight provided the opportunity to sample several of their beers and they had really good flavor and body. They have a good selection and you're likely to find something you like. If I were from the area I would frequent this place. They also have food offerings which is always a plus.

Out of all the breweries I visited in San Antonio this one was my favorite. A lot of it has to do with personal preference. It’s on the smaller/quieter side. The beers are good and so is the food. The staff is super friendly. As I was closing my tab my waiter brought me over a taste of their collab with Breakaway. They have a beer for life club that I confirmed with the bartender was $1000. If I lived in San Antonio I would definitely be a member. I didn’t want to try to drink $1000 worth of beer in less than 3 weeks. I got drafts of Kokúa and Punk’n PI-PA and cans of Rio de Leche and Constitutional Kolsch. They were all good. I ate a care salad with chicken which was also good. I probably could have eaten the family size which I think was $4 more. Definitely check it out if you want a chill spot to drink good beer. It’s also really close to Idke and Roadmap.

this joint makes pizza 🍕 so good even The Ninja Turtles would say “COWABUNGA DUDE!!” Dough and sauce made FRESH daily, in-house brewed craft beer to wet your whistle all served by a super down to earth staff, cool vibes AND right alongside the beautiful San Antonio River…sure glad my man Ricardo (owner) never turned his back on his dream…BACK UNTURNED is doing the damn thang!

I work in the area I came on a Friday it was very busy and I was handed the wrong order I understand this is frustrating but I realized it was busy and they did their best so I calmly call them up and let them know that I will come in Monday for the correct pizza they totally understood and took full responsibility. Coming in to get my pizza I was worried I’d have to show proof and argue that it was wrong. Not at all the owner himself came out and apologized and gave me a gift card and thank me for my business! CAN WE PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS A SMALL BUSINESS AND THINGS HAPPEN!! he went above and beyond to correct a honest mistake! Thank you! Also the pizza is amazing!

Good selection of beer, plays good background music, they serve brunch on weekends, but we only had the flatbread. Saw the other food coming out and I'm going to go back to try more items. But the service at atmosphere were great... We only had the flatbread, but dang I saw other food coming out and I'm going back for brunch

Cute place, great beer! Lots of different options. We love sour and ciders mostly, and they had on each of those, but their other beers were excellent. Happy hour and $2 off beers after 9 was an excellent deal. Small food menu, but we had Caprese salad and it was excellent. Bathrooms were clean. Service was good and they kept ice water cups full! Will be back when visiting. Thanks!
