Stopped into Tellez at 7 a.m. on Thursday before Christmas. To be honest, I was preparing myself for an impossibly long line this close to the holidays. To my surprise, there were only three customers ahead of me. I was both happy and concerned at the same time. Concerned that the lack of patrons might be an indication of problems with quality. As it turned out, that certainly wasn't the issue. The tamales I purchased were delicious with a good meat to masa ratio. I don't care for a lot of masa and Tellez has consistently provided a good amount of meat in their tamales. Prices did go up a fair bit, like so many other things these days. All in all, I was very satisfied once again.

The line around christmas time gets so long but its worth it. So wake up early to get a good spot. The tamales are the best in town hands down!

Heart is in this food!! We had Menudo, Carne Asada, Carne Guisada, Chicken Mole, Tamales, Barbacoa, Chicharrones and Sweet Tea!! Everything and I mean everything was so delicious!! We love trying several different dishes everywhere we go and even the refried beans were delicious! Don't hesitate just walk right in and grab some breakfast or lunch!
