It is hard to find a good Mexican sea food Restaurant in USA. When they told me about this one I was hesitant to go. I am glad I did go. If you want to eat real Sinaloa (Mexican food) this is the place. You would not imagine you are not eating at a Mexican Beach!! Great service by Tati
Great food and fast friendly service by our young waitress. The prices were reasonable unlike other Mexican seafood places and a variety of options to choose from.
My last meal before gastric sleeve with Texas Bariatrics Specialists. Totally Authentic Mexican.
Just got into town on business and I needed to find something for lunch. I asked the hotel manager where I could get seafood. He asked if I was looking for traditional seafood or perhaps Mexican. I asked what the difference was and he went on to describe dishes at a restaurant, La Perla, and they sounded wonderful.
Popped the address in and got here hungry. I browsed the menu fairly quickly and settled on the Ceviche Marea Roja; fish, octopus, shrimp, cucumber and red onion topped with avocado and a spicy Michelada sauce.
Everything was perfect. The seafood had tenderized, the avocado was fresh and the sauce was perfectly balanced.
I took the menu back so I could read through it and plan on what I am going to have for dinner!
I come here specifically for the fish taco La Perla, topped with carrot, jicama and a creamy sauce. The fish taco is the best I have ever tasted. They serve the fish on a homemade corn tortilla, as it should be. 😋
I'm a huge fan of Mexican seafood restaurants and this place is another gem on the Northwest side of San Antonio. I've been here a few times but this time I had the Ceviche Barbas Negras (Blackbeard Ceviche). Very refreshing and was interesting that it had raw tuna in it as I've never had that in a ceviche before. I'd like to come back and try some other dishes.
Good seafood, prices kind of high though. I had the queso funding for appetizer,, pretty good, not as melty as used to. Queso had a good flavor with the chorizo. I had the oysters and shrimp with fries, and had added 1 piece of fish, which was only $1.20, real cheap. This fish was flaky, cooked perfectly. The shrimp had good flavor and the oysters need about another 3 mins for perfection, but that was not a deal break, good flavor. My girlfriend had the shrimp enchiladas with a sort of Diablo sauce, pretty damn goof, and the heat sort of crept up on me. I would come again, My 2 cents.
The OG location is the best. All the seafood tacos are worth a try.

The beer was cold the food was great my girl says that this is her new favorite place. Definitely will be back.
