Food is amazing and the service is fantastic! We were able to get our food very quickly, and the staff came over to check on us throughout the meal which was very nice. Really enjoyed this place!

Stumbled across this place and it was great for lunch! Ordered the falafel wrap with a side salad and it did not disappoint. The place is clean and for it getting busy very fast, the staff was friendly and the food did not take very long to come out.

Was in jury duty and on the lunch break went out to find somewhere to eat nearby. Athen Express is located directly to the side the courthouse which makes it a popular spot with jurors and courthouse employees. Upon entry I found a ordering line where they assemble your plate as you order. Everything is ready to go, meats are on a rotisserie and sliced off when you order allows them to stay hot, brown and toasted on the crust until ordered. The rice was seasoned with what I thought was saffron at first but it was too red. I believe it could have been paprika. I ordered the #6 Gyro plate, which came with a serving of Gyro meat, a greek salad, a side of rice, a serving of tzatziki and a pita $9.99. The pita bread was put on a grill and toasted up warm before added to my plate, and was actually very good, it was a large piece with a good thickness to it while still very soft and floury on the surface. All the food had good flavor, the salad was excellent, and Im not a salad person. I finished every bit on my plate. It had a strong dressing to it, with feta cheese, and sliced cucumbers mixed in. I saw others with Gyro plates with just fries, which seemed popular. The fries looked good, I almost ordered some, and saw people ordering the fries for their kids. The only desert I saw was baklava, but I noticed there was a side menu that contained a variety of items and plates not consisting of gyro, chicken, or kabobs. I was in the door and at my table with plate in hand in less than 4 minutes. That's quick... I was back at the courthouse and only 35 minutes had gone by. This is an excellent lunch spot if your crunched for time. The food was good, service was fast, drinks are self serve, so no wait for refills. From the plate I ordered I cant say it was the best Greek food around, but I can say that for the price and the speed of service, its a good plate to eat while downtown in the courthouse area. ** Pita Bread Not Shown In Picture **

Line seemed long, but moved fast. It is a little difficult to communicate your order, the staff cannot hear customers well over the counter. Portions were plentiful and food was good at a reasonable price. Small dining area was kept clean and vacated tables were cleared quickly by staff. Area around the location is a little rough. I was with a group, but I don't know if I would 100% comfortable walking there myself.

I love this place! First of all... the staff is the best. Friendly faces, amazing attitudes, great service! The food was fantastic! The veggie plate had it all, the salad is amazing, great flavors. Will definitely be going back!!
