First time there, Never heard of it till our son told us about it,
The restaurant was family oriented, clean and well organized.
The menu was simple , easy to read..

Best sausage we have eaten in whole state of Texas, no kidding..
The chicken fell off the bone and was seasoned to perfection.
The brisket was tender too.
Reading other reviews saying it was over priced, well you get what you pay for, if you want the best BBQ in Texas,come here....
If you want average tasting BBQ , go ahead go to Bill M......, you'll regret it.
I have been to Smokey Mo's several times and it is good, quick, and tasty BBQ. I have had their b-fast tacos and thought they were mediocre in size and taste but good none the less. The Brisket sandwich is very good with a decent amount of tender meat. My favorite is the Frio pie! The only reason I rated Smokey a 4 instead of a 5 is that I feel they are a bit over priced in comparison to other fast food bbq places in SA.
Great barbecue and awesome BBQ sauce. Price is reasonable too. This is the best barbecue in the Stone Oak and Bulverde area. It is comparable and maybe slightly better than Rudy 's. (which is quite good). Sausage is some of the best in town. Beans are "ranch style".... A little sweet and more baked than traditional pintos served by most joints in the area and a nice change from the local norm. This is good barbecue! Enjoy!
Yum!. I'm a big fan of the Smokey Mo's on Bulverde Rd, so I was very excited when I saw they were opening in Stone Oak. we went the second day they were open...did not see any evidence of opening mistakes/issues. They do not have a drive through window at this location (that I can see). Since it was just 2 of us, we passed on our usual family pack for a 3 meat plate and a chopped baker...stellar!
Great food local and customer service was terrific. If your in North San Antonio give it a shout you’ll love it!
I placed my oder online to be picked up just 20 minutes later. The order was correctly prepared and delivered on time. The food was delicious and in ample portion. It was an excellent experience that I hope continues every Monday evening for the foreseeable future.
BBQ and sausage was fantastic! Highly recommend the creamed corn, but most of the sides we had were really good. The service is always very friendly and I love how they support their surrounding schools!

The food was good. We ordered Turkey, lean brisket, beans, Mac and cheese, potatoes salad and red potatoes

Food was hot when we received our order. It was near closing time when we ordered and the food was still as delicious as when they open! The brisket wasn’t dry and the bun for the sandwich was soft. The chopped spud is big enough for two!!
This was my first time here. I went with some coworkers because of location closer to work. When we got there it was nice and calm. A lady acknowledged us and took our order right away. Since it was my first time she kindly explained the menu options and sides. The restaurant was empty so they served us promptly. I ordered the brisket plate with pinto beans and potato salad. The brisket was super tender (it was a little bit cold thou), the beans were delicious and hot and the potato salad was tasty. The sauce it looks like is homemade; is a little bit hot but still delicious. It came with two slices of bread. My suggestions are just to play some background music. It felt awkward been alone and no music or noise. Also change the table clothes. When you come in it looks more like an Italian restaurant instead of a BBQ place. For sure I’ll be coming back but probably to order to go.
We ordered the triple meat plate with double pork ribs and chicken.. with double potato salad it was delicious again!!.. the pork ribs just melt off the bone!!!
My husband and I easily shared the 2 meat platter. Im in town visiting my Grandma, and she ordered Smokey Mo's last year, and I wanted a quick lunch since we're leaving tomorrow and meeting up with family for dinner. Brisket is 10/10! Our 1.5 year old ate up the Mac and cheese. Thankful we got a side of it since he loves it so much. I wish we had a location near where we live, I'd definitely go a lot! I worked in Management at a BBQ restaurant in Seattle, and the food was as good or better!
Ordered through UberEats and picked it up in the restaurant. It smells amazing in the dining room, and the actual food is even better. Sooo worth the $14 per plate, I could not even finish one plate myself. Absolute must-try for bbq in the Stone Oak area!
Portions are a bit small for the price but overall the bbq isn't bad for a quick bite. Friendly staff and clean facilities.
