I usually try out the enchiladas Verdes when I go to any new Mexican place. By far one of the better one's I have had so far in my time in San Antonio. Other places skimp on the sauce, but this place gave a great proportion of sauce to enchiladas.
Great Food and Huge Portions. Some of the best Mexican food in town and the portions are enough for two meals.
I eat here at least twice a week when I'm in town and can't get enough of it!

The servers are always nice, if they make a mistake they never are mean about it and they will fix it fast and food is always hot. They remember me, my friends and family and that's really nice when we come and the atmosphere is family friendly, food comes out fast and hot, it's always clean and you can tell the servers take pride in their job. Coffee is good and always refilled quickly and I love the Avacado sauce they have it's delicious. Usually when I go to restaurants I order the same thing all the time but here I order different things because everything looks so good when it comes out and I feel like I can trust the workers here, they will not disappoint that's why they get so many customers. It's a really great place. 😊
Outstanding!! I love basic beef fajitas and these are some of the best! Very affordable prices. The beef was tender and flavorful. The flour fajitas were soft and warm! My wife grabbed the enchiladas verdes with chicken. She loved them. Waiters and waitresses are very professional and friendly. Got food in about 5 mins. $20 total for two large meals — had to take some home!! Fantastic overall. 5 stars. This is becoming our go to lunch spot when craving Mexican / Tex-Mex meals!
This place seems very popular with the local AFB employees and of course lots of local regulars every time we come in. The staff knows their order like the back of their hand.
We were in town for Air Force graduation. We came across this place close to the base. We were a little concerned about the bars on the windows but others had given great reviews. The food was so good and the cost was great. Don’t miss out of great food!
One pound of barbacoa!?!? Yes, please! Outstanding food. The tortillas being made in-house is always a big sell for me, and they were wonderful.
You can believe the people that say ignore how the place looks and believe in the quality of the food. Super friendly staff. Great experience and really great food. The portions are very generous. The chips and salsa are great, little spicy but still really good. I got the mini tacos and added a couple extra and split them half chicken half steak and they are amazing. The grill onions were phenomenal. My wife got a dinner plate and she really enjoyed it. I'll probably be stopping by for lunch or dinner and I would recommend people trying it as well.
Excellent less expensive tacos. Everytime I can get close to this place, I have to stop by and get there Taco's. Reminds of Cali. Best Mexican food around.
Authentic Mexican food very close to Lackland AFB. Excellent!!! Chips and salsa AND homemade tortillas came with the meal. Loved everything but especially the tortillas.
The pork chop plate is my go-to here. Consistently the best pork chop I've had in San Antonio. Their flour tortillas and refried beans are top notch, too. Always great service.
this restaurant has one of the tastiest menudo soups 🍲 i ever have enjoyed. the pieces of beef 🍖 tripe are plump and juicy and served with a side of lime wedges and a mound of diced onions and green pepper. i had mine with flour tortillas. i recommend buying a few more flour tortillas to further spoon all that tasty broth. i also enjoyed their plate of four mini tacos al pastor (thinly sliced marinated porked), which they serve with hearty stewed beans, a large, beautiful juicy green pepper, a mountain of cilantro, and sauteed onions. the plate costs only $7.99 and the large menudo was about the same price. they included even a large soda. altogether it costs less tha $20 which is a very good value for your hard earned dollar/peso.
