El Ceviche De Waldito

IYKYK... If not you NEED TO KNOW! Sooooo good! Best Peruvian cuisine in TX and best I've ever had! Chef Waldo's business and family have been deeply impacted by Covid and he needs all the support he can get. Seriously, insanely delicious and fresh cooked food by one of the friendliest and most generous man I know. I've been coming here for 14+ years and don't plan to stop!

This small spot is a true culinary treasure, offering delectable homemade buffet-style dishes and Peruvian ceviche. The flavors are simply outstanding. The warm and inviting ambiance makes you feel right at home, while the chef's charisma adds a special touch to the dining experience. His passion for food is evident in every dish they serve. He is the whole staff team. I was initially hesitant to try the buffet, but I'm glad I decided to try it instead of ceviche. Each offering was a delightful revelation.

This is truly a whole in wall GEM. It's not pretty or fancy, but if the taste of the food is what matters to you- place this restaurant on your list. The owner/chef is super friendly and will treat you like family. We tried the lomo saltado plate and the chicken lunch buffet plate and both were super moist and packed with flavor!

This is by far the best Peruvian/Cuban/Puerto Rican restaurant I have visited in a long time. The attention to detail on the dishes is phenomenal. Once you start eating something magical happens in your mouth, the explosion of flavors and the variety of ingredients makes the food out of this world. I ordered the beef with gandules, it comes with fried plantains and rice with so much flavor. Also tried the spicy seafood creamy soup. Everything was delicious, and the service, you can't get more personalized than this, Chef Waldo himself recommends you what to eat and tailors your dish for you. The place is very cozy and romantic, it reminds you of a upscale restaurant in a smaller version but once you taste the food, it takes you to a different level. I will most definitely recommend.
