Great place to eat! I've been here almost a month. Sorry to say but its hard to find good street tacos in SA. I worked and live in El paso. They have some of the best street tacos down there in that border town. This place reminds of those tacos. The salsa is on point. Expect, Taquitos West Avenue is how I know , gives good size serving of meat I'm there tacos. You get your money's worth.
I start off saying that i only do 4 and 5 star reviews. I own a restaurant and believer that if I don’t have anything good to say, I don’t say anything at all. This is the coolest Taqueria I have ever eaten at. The buddy I went with went back again today because he can’t get enough of it. Just go. Parking sucks but go. Kitchen is outside but go. They are the friendliest, most generous people and tip the hell out of them. Fight over the bill on this one because it is cheap. LOL. Great job guys
This is a great place to go if you want tacos like they serve in Mexico. Small corn tortillas. Each taco is only 3 or 4 bites. I'd order 5-10. I had the tripas and bistek. They put onions and cilantro on top, but you can order them plain. Parking could be an issue though. I've heard it can also get very busy and packed. It has indoor and outdoor covered areas.
Am I in Laredo, Mexico? Smells like it, looks like it, taste like it but it's Vance Jackson, San Antonio! 5 fully packed taquitos with my agua de Horchata sitting outside taking in all the smells of Mexico, now that's what I'm talking about! Si se puede mi gente!
Real Mexican Food for Real Mexicans. If you follow my reviews (chances are you don't) you know that I have no problem disliking the majority of the restaurant I visit. I have high expectations and they are seldom met. At Taquitos West the options are great, the quality is amazing, the taste is heavenly, the price is just right, the atmosphere is on point, and the portions are more than generous. The process is extremely streamlined as well, so the wait time is reasonable even with as packed as it gets.

Like Eating in Mexico. That's what it felt like as we sat outside enjoying our freshly made tacos w some good Spanish music playing over head. The weather was just right for eating outside w just enough breeze to blow that delicious carne scent right up your nose then to key points in your body that tell your brain, "Must eat tacos, must eat tacos" all zombie like. Then you come back to life after taking your first delicious bite topped w one of their tasty hot sauces. But you better be in the mood for meaty tacos cuz that's all they serve here. You order outside right at the grill, order your Mexican sodas inside and pick where to sit in or out and pay at the end of your meal. Real simple but good. I heard you can order other stuff inside but I didn't see anything besides sodas. We shared some bistec and suadero tacos. 5 to an order w all the fixins. You know what bistec is but if you haven't heard of suadero its beef shank that you probably had in some caldo de res at some point. Well now try it in a taco, the meat is richer tasting maybe due to the collagen that has melted throughout the meat making it tender and juicy. Definitely a place to get your taco fix.
1st time eating at this establishment & let me tell you my family & I where super satisfied. The tripa tacos are the best, I've had in a long time. The prices for a plate of 5 tacos, are great. I highly recommend, to anyone in the area. Make the trip, you won't be disappointed.
The Best "Street Tacos" in the city. I have tasted street tacos out and about in the city. Some of the tacos have come from trucks, others from brick and mortar restaurants and I even tried the street tacos from Taco Cabana (I wish I could get that time back). I have tasted tacos in Saltillo and Monterrey Mexico as well. Tacos are accompanied with cilantro, onion, slices of lime, sliced radishes with prepared salsa and bottled hot sauce so you can arrange your eating experience appropriately.
The tacos at Taqauitos West Avenue are equal to the very best I have tasted in Mexico. They are succulent, tasty, cheap, and fast. You can eat outside under a tin roof or you can have these lovely gifts from heaven inside as well.
You will not be disappointed with how good these tacos are.
Omg I’m in LOVE with this place. $1.89/taco and they’re so freaking good. Soft and fresh tortilla, juicy meat. The flavors simply explode in your mouth. There’s also a quiet area for families and the vibes are just great. Service is good too!
Excellent authentic tasty tacos. They have many options to choose from and all of the fixings to go with. To wash it down they also have a nice selection sodas including sugar cane coke. Place was clean and nicely decorated. Service was top notch. Place gets busy but the line moves fast. They have a good seating area or you can get it to go. Very much enjoyed eating here! 👍
Okay, peeps. I know just about everyone says they have their taco place. Believe me, I've eaten at lots of taco joints. But this one in particular, hits the spot. Great atmosphere and music playing loudly. You can sing while eating your tacos. Don't think for a minute that they will take forever to get your order. Nope. You place your order at window and get your food too. Don't be shy to get another order. Definitely a MUST GO RESTAURANT!!
My wife and I came into eat because of a recommendation. Did not disappoint, great street style tacos with a wide variety of choices. Taste was great, parking easy, and the place was clean all while not breaking the bank. We will come back for sure, it's very affordable at $1.89 a taco.
Really laid back experience. We went before the rush, so it was pretty empty. For a long time, I was unable to make it inside due to so many people, but we went in at 11 am. or so. The salsa is delicious, and the tripas were good and crispy. Everything was full of flavor and the waitresses were attentive. But what I loved most of all, was how clean the place was. It was a good experience overall.
Really delicious. The place was full and we had to wait in a long line but it was actually pretty good. I mean, the line moved faster than other lines. You get your food as soon as you order it and that's legit.

Wow! A true taco experiencie! All tacos were delicious and meticulously prepared with a nice presentation. Above all , the all around stainless steel furniture and counters makes think of a hygienic environment. We definitely are getting back with friends.
I recently ordered 15 tacos to go from Taquitos West Avenue, and it was quite the experience. The atmosphere was bustling and crowded, with loud music playing, making me wonder if the taco makers could even hear my order. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the quick service and the reasonably fast-moving line. Parking was tight and hard to find; I must have come at rush hour.
Best street tacos in town! I highly recommend the Al Pastor, steak, and brisket. The red salsa is 10/10. Great flavors overall. Definitely a San Antonio staple.
Great experience 👍 its a very unique way of ordering and can be confusing your first visit. Very much love that you pay after you're done, it's on your honor to tell them what you ate/drank. Says a lot about the owners and the patrons.
