The only problem at Salsalito's was their red sauce. It was like tomato sauce with cilantro, onions, and a little pepper. The food was tremendous, the prices fair, and the service from Chontay was excellent. We will definitely be back again. Great atmosphere and much cooler than outside. It may be a small point to some of you, but my tea glass never got below half way.
We ate there yesterday , celebrating Dad's 81's
birthday. The whole family was there and enjoyed everything. The food was great , the service was out of this world , and Dad was treated like a king by everyone ! His birthday could not any nicer at

It’s been probably over 10 years since we last visited Salsalitos and that in itself is a shame because this restaurant deserves more visits for sure. We would for sure if it weren’t for the fact that we live out of state now. Regardless, our recent visit was just as good as our last; if not better. Like fine wine, Salsalitos has aged well. The food, service and overall experience just seems so much better than we recall. We’ll most certainly try harder to make time for a much sooner return visit.
Great service. My husband & I came here Sunday afternoon for lunch. It was fairly busy, but the service was on point. Our waitress was very friendly and she took good care of us, ensuring we had all we needed throughout our visit. I ordered crispy tacos & my husband ordered beef enchiladas a la Carte. It was delicious & good portion sizes. So if you're craving good ol Mexican food, we recommend you give Salsalitos a try!
I really liked my lunch today! I had cheese enchiladas with beef crispy tacos. I'm really picky about enchilada sauce, as I hate the soupy brown sauce some places make, but Salsalitos did not make their enchiladas with that. It was a very good meat enchilada sauce; the corn tortillas were cooked (not dry), and the cheese on top was a good amount. The beef in the tacos was good, not bland, and the taco shell was crispy. The borracho beans were unexpectedly spicy and I could not eat them. It was a very good lunch and I will be back!
I went in this morning at it opened. It was quiet, but I got my breakfast to go. I come here from Kyle, because my daughter loves this place. Especially your fresh flour tortillas. They are definitely a go-to. Meli was really nice and sweet. She formally introduced herself to me and said she'd take care of my daughter and I when we come in to dine next time.
Thank you for making my solo trip a special one.

Sensational meal tonight at Salsalitos Cantina! Delicious queso, warm tortilla chips, outstanding burrito with REAL chicken strips, and yummy quesadilla with ground beef. Huge portions-too much to eat at one time leaving another meal for another day. We'll be back!
Finished up the meal with cheesecake with a cherry on top.

Food was good, prices were fair. Our waiter at the bar was helpful in ordering. We were split between items, and he custom ordered plates for us. Mine was the choice between cheese and chicken mole enchiladas. He ordered me a #1 special plate with 1 cheese and 1 mole enchilada, a tamale and a crispy beef taco. My friends was debating trying the bacon wrapped shrimp, so he added 2 of them as a side. I suggested to my friend the tortilla soup as well, which many have reviewed and commented was very good, he agreed with the reviews.
The chicken mole enchiladas were on the sweeter side compared to the dozens of places I've had them before, not the sweetest I've had, but pretty up there. The shredded chicken inside them however was a bit lacking flavor wise. The bacon wrapped jalapenos were spicy and unless you love heat, a full order is probably impossible to eat on your own as an appetizer.
I've eaten here before, but it had been several years since my last visit, decided to give it another go, since San Antonio is full of Mexican restaurants. Overall not a bad experience, I would go back to try some more items.
Ordered catering/food to go for 50 people. Rice, refried beans, guacamole, tortillas, and chips. All of it was delicious and our guests kept raving about the food. Ordering was easy. Pick up was smooth. Price was very reasonable. Would definitely consider using them again for large orders.
The fajitas were the most tender I've ever had, but the flavor wasn't my thing. The manager stated they use a variety of seasonings to marinate the fajitas, but it probably shouldn't be used as their seasoning. Overall though it was pretty good for our first visit.
Haven't been here in a while but they did not disappoint. Wait staff was fast and attentive. Food was served piping hot and was delicious as always. Only complaint I would have on whole meal was the salsa was a little heavy on the garlic. Other than that , would recommend it to anyone. Wife had puffy tacos and I had the crispy tacos. Photo is of their desert offerings. Unfortunately we didn't have room.
Food was amazing! Waitress took forever to come and ask for the order. Then once the food came she never came back to check on us. I was sucking on ice when I ran out of water until I left. My friend wanted a drink besides water, but she never came back. Then he had to flag her down to get the check. 🙄
