Sternewirth Bar

This a great place to chill and relax. We have experienced it 7 visits since 2022. The live music on certain nights is always great. It's a warm, friendly, cozy place to relax, chat with your spouse or friends. Carlos is the best server. We always request Carlos. It's great to get to know everyone.

Inside Hotel Emma. Ambiance was great. Drinks were hitting. Relaxed and Calm environment with sophistication. Visited on a Friday evening around 6-7pm and we were able to find seating after ordering at the bar. Would definitely return on my next trip to San Antonio. So much better than drinking/eating by the Riverwalk.

If you’re looking for a place to get some day drinks or a late night cocktail sternewirth is your go to. The bartenders are well knowledgeable and very attentive. The have modern and classic boozy cocktails that matches well with the ambiance from the historic Emma hotel. The only reason I’m not rating a 5 star is because the service from the server we had was none existent. No recommendations, no engagement on how our experience was going, and wouldn’t manicure our table even when asked if she could take the dirty glassware away. A little unfortunate but we will still be back to visit the amazing bar service that was given to us.

No. 1 bar on my list. I met with a special someone here on a Friday night for a drink. We had such a great time. The service was amazing and as always we were extremely fond of the ambiance. I was a little disappointed that they updated their menu - I was looking forward to indulging in their bourbon selection for signature cocktails. Nonetheless, GREAT TIME.
