Battle of the Burgers Continued… The Atmosphere: Recently I visited Hopdaddy for the first time in La Cantera! The Resturant & restrooms were very clean! Unique decor specific to the brand, the atmosphere was truly great! The restaurant can accommodate various group sizes comfortably! Customer Service: The team member who took my order was very professional & did a great job explaining why I should come back to try out more of the menu! Impressive! The Burger The bun is an important component of a great burger to hold everything together! The bun was perfect! Great taste, fresh condiments, the burger tasted really good! Everything was hot & fresh when served to me. As the fries cooled down they seem to get a lil hard. But they were definitely fresh when brought to me! The Verdict: San Antonio has some great competition for burgers! The San Antonio benchmark in my opinion is Mr. Juicy! In the Fry department Mr. Juicy emerges as the winner! The Classic burger at Hopdaddy was very tasty & juicy! The burgers are close in quality & may come down to personal preference for most. For the burger, I still prefer Mr. Juicy! I will go back to Hopdaddy to sample more of the burger bar! Hopdaddy is a strong contender! If you are in San Antonio & want to sample a great burger, Hopdaddy is a Must Visit (MV)! Enjoy 😉

*** UPDATE*** I went back with my friend and her daughters on a Saturday afternoon and was very pleased. The burger was very tasty and the fries were hot and delicious. An employee named Bri came by our table and asked how the food was and if we needed anything so my experience was definitely better. I updated my review to reflect better feedback. So I went on Veterans Day, however I did not take advantage of the free classic burger. I ordered the bacon jam burger and I was really disappointed in the burger and the fries were gross and barely warm. I didn’t want to stand in the forever long line to try and get fresh fries so I just sucked it up. Won’t be back.

Ordered the El Diablo and Hot Honey and Sage sweet potato fried. Ordering was quick and easy, and there was plenty of seating available. The burger came pink in the middle and was delicious! I was hoping it'd be a little spicier. The fries were just as good. Came in a big bowl, definitely plan to share or take home. Overall, great place and would go back for more!
