This place has SO much charm. We didnt know the area so we were just walking around and we are so happy we came across The Liberty Bar. We had a couple drinks and nibbled on the sourdough bread w/ butter appetizer. The bread was a little on the burnt side but I dont mind that with sourdough. My boyfriend really liked his old fashioned. Bartender was great. We are so sad we didnt come back to try the homemade pasta and sourdough pizza. Next time we come back to San Antonio we will definitely be coming back here.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a Liberty bar in San Antonio, and I must say, the pizza was out of this world! It easily ranks as the best I've ever tasted in the city. The cheese and pizza sauce were incredibly fresh and flavorful, making the overall experience truly incredible.

I love Liberty Bar!! My boyfriend and I come here almost every month. Get the LAMB BURGER. It is soooo good. If you want something light, get the salad warm. I can’t remember the name of the salad but ask for it warm. The atmosphere is great, the service is always always great. Parking is a little challenging on the weekend. Overall it is a gem. I think on Thursdays they have half price Margaritas. The brunch menu is not my favorite but I love the dinner menu. Anyways, worth a try!

I've been to Liberty Bar for Brunch many times and have always leaned more on the breakfast side of things when ordering. However this time I decided to switch it up and go for a lunch item - I was not disappointed! We went on a Saturday around 11:30am, which I was surprised to see it wasn't packed. Usually there's a wait of about 45 minutes to an hour and I don't think they take reservations, so if you're planning on heading here for the weekend Brunch, I suggest going at an odd time or plan ahead to wait. I ordered the Portobello Sandwich, it was so delicious with the gruyere cheese on sourdough bread, and the sauerkraut added so much flavor I was blown away by! Not to mention they have the best fries! No matter what you order here hands down will be good, I highly recommend!

2nd time here, different menu than last time I came, and still SO freaking good! You are completely missing out. One word to describe the atmosphere, food, and experience: eclectic.

Took too long coming back here. Loved it the first and even more so now. I had HUEVOS BENEDICTINOS: Two poached eggs & ham on English muffin w/ housemade Hollandaise sauce, sautéed spinach & pommes frites and my fiancé had CHILE RELLENO EN NOGADA: Poblano chile stuffed w/ grass fed, cage-free ground beef, potatoes, almonds, black currants, onions & garlic; topped w/ chilled walnut purée cream sauce (as it's meant to be) & pomegranate seeds. Mine was great but his so delicious. Great atmosphere! Cool, eclectic restaurant/bar and especially love the history behind it. Building has been around since 1825. We're definitely returning for brunch, dinner or enjoy a cocktail outside.

Service was excellent, and so was the food! My sister ordered the chicken salad sandwich, and I must say that is the best chicken salad I have ever tasted! Highly recommend 👌

The 48 hour French toast is more like bread pudding French toast. You won't be disappointed. The berries were perfectly ripe. The chilaquiles were also very tasty and the black beans are vegetarian 🎉 staff was very friendly and helpful. And the coffee was super flavorful. Getting the bread service is also highly recommended. Their sourdough comes a bit grilled and I think with olive oil on it. The rosemary butter is delicious on it but it's also perfect just on its own. Note: Parking can be a bit tricky, but it's definitely worth it!

I've been vegetarian for many years and the portabello sandwich is the best sandwich I've had in my life, I'm actually blown away. The chef is the nicest man ever, he spoke to me about the making of the sandwich, it meant to be like a reuben so he convinced me to actually try with the sauerkraut which I was nervous about but wow is it amazing! They make their sauerkraut in house. He said they can make many of their dishes vegetarian, I absolutely cannot wait to be back.

Flavor: A Service: B Tea: A Solo dining: A A favorite new find! The goat cheese appetizer is killer. And the fettuccine Alfredo with meatballs is the blending of all my favorites… with really flavorful Alfredo sauce I might add. The servers seem to mostly disappear after the food comes. But what a great meal!
