House Of Joy

My first impression of the House of Joy was very good. The restuarant is very clean, well decorated and convenient. The prices are reasonable for food and amount they offer. The lunch specials were great with good prices. From sesame chicken to beef lo meun they got it all. You should come by with friends and family and you won't be disappointed. Good place for lunch and dinner. Highly Recommended!!! 👍 Updated: after 4 years and going the quality of the food is the same. Delicious like always. Had to try the combo lo mein with shrimp and broccoli sauteed. 😋

We are very particular on the Chinese or oriental restaurants that we visit. Most are very poor including PF Changs. This restaurant was very impressive to us. The service was excellent, the décor was very comfortable and food was served hot and quickly to us. We usually use Mencius and Formosa Gardens as are test to compare since we really enjoy eating there. But this restaurant will be added to our frequently visited stop. One slight issue was the sesame Chicken, it did not have any sesames on it and seem more like orange chicken, not sure of our order was misread. Otherwise excellent place to dine in the Leon Valley area.

The location is a bit hidden from the bandera rd, but there is a fine establishment in the shopping center serving some awesome chinese food! The food is delicious!! Our waitress was friendly and welcoming. The steamed dumplings were fresh and full of flavor. The shrimp fried rice had large shrimp and was a large serving. The egg rolls and spring rolls were tasty as well. The egg drop soup was spot on! This will be my new favorite place for traditional chinese food!! I dont have pictures because I ate it all so fast.
