The milk braised potatoes were amazing. As was the bread and butter. Everything else my friend and I had was better than ok, but not amazing. The service was very friendly, but a little slow. I never got a chance to order a second drink. If I go back I’ll probably order a bunch of appetizers and skip the main dish.

This place has blown my socks off the last few times I've come here. I've come here 4 times in the last 5 months and have enjoyed each time so much that I keep craving it every week. The service has been absolutely impeccable recently and I love the food here with all my heart. Each time they change up the menu I am a bit sad that something I loved is taken off, but then I am always so delighted and impressed by what takes its place. All the people I've dined here with have also been so impressed by the food and we always have such a great time. I love that the price points are never pretentious or ridiculous, the food is made with such care, the dishes are inspired and creative, and the portions super reasonable. Usually, at places with food this good in quality, the portions are disappointing and leave people hungry. I think that the ambiance is so special here. It's cozy, romantic but not over-the-top, and quiet enough for a normal conversation. My boyfriend and I came here for an anniversary dinner and we both thought it was the perfect place for it. Now on to the recommendations-- Rigatoni with vodka sauce that is gin-based-- SO GOOD. Must try before it rotates off the menu. Have it with the Elouan Pinot Noir and thank me later. Also, the pasta noodles here taste so fresh and like they make them in-house. House Radiatore Pasta with Mushrooms-- One of my favorite pasta dishes in my life. I could eat this every day. The mushrooms they use are amazing and I also recommend this with the Elouan Pinot Noir. Sourdough bread-- Theirs and Table X's sourdough breads are about the same in deliciousness and I can't choose a winner, but they are superior to all the other sourdough I've had. Trout Hash brunch special 12/2/23-- I hope this dish stays in a constant rotation and is not only here for one weekend. I loved every part of this dish and it was so thoughtfully crafted. I want to literally eat this again tomorrow. Oquirrh Salad-- so yummy and such a great portion size for a salad! I shared this as an appetizer with my boyfriend and the dressing was so unique. Definitely not a salad that I can simply make at home (which often happens with restaurant salads). Dessert special of the night 12/1/23, an Italian chocolate pudding dish with honey-whiskey ice cream-- AMAZING. So different than what we can usually get for dessert elsewhere and the honey-whiskey ice cream was special. I just can't recommend this restaurant enough.

The sourdough bread and milk- braised potatoes were delicious. Our entrees - anelli pasta and the pork chop- were fantastic! The pork chop was cooked to perfection (moist and tender) and the plum sauce complimented it nicely. We tried the chocolate crepes and peach tart for dessert. Both were good, but the peach tart was my favorite. The restaurant is small and the food is a bit pricey, but the quality of the food is excellent. The service was good too!

Was invited to this location to celebrate my birthday while visiting Salt Lake City on business and i’m so happy we went! My only regret is not taking more photos of the great food we got. Literally everything was composed in a way I’ve never had. So many great flavors and made from scratch dishes. I had the house made sour dough, milk braised potatoes, and house made mushroom rigatorre pasta. The pastry chefs dessert creation was an awesome mix of cake, pudding, caramel, apples, brown butter and ice cream…. Don’t even know what it was called but was the perfect end to an amazing birthday meal! The server even gave me a succulent plant as a birthday gift!

Small quaint restaurant with good food. Tables are pretty close to each other so don't expect much privacy. The milk braised potatoes are great. The chicken was cooked perfectly, super moist. The pasta was seasoned aggressively and was pretty salty. Ordered an old fashioned that was heavily diluted with water.

Great food, great service. We stayed for a really long time after our meals were done and while most restaurants would have been annoyed by it, the staff at Oquirrh continued to take care of us and were just so hospitable.

The food was incredible and perfectly portioned. Highly recommend the smoked cabbage and the pot pie. The drinks were great, we love a good old fashioned and these were simple and smooth. The service was awesome and very helpful. It is a bit of a smaller space. A group of 4 louder guys came in and were having a great time, the space has a little echo so everyone in the restaurant had to raise their voices to keep up with them making for a pretty loud environment for a minute. Nothing terrible just noticeable. I’m excited about going back for seconds!

Service 5 Ambiance 5 Food 5 Value 5 Our server was really good and made the experience awesome. The menu is simple, a single sheet, the choices diverse and interesting. They are not cooking “old standbys but rather creative explorations in taste. The venue is small and not very fancy but the atmosphere is welcoming and made us feel cared for. Each of the dishes was beautifully presented with great care to the tenants of a great dish: flavors, texture, fresh and correctly prepared. Lastly our bill of $100 for two of us made this an outstanding value which further enhances the experience. Sourdough bread was excellent Spaghetti squash was unique and inspired with blue cheese dressing providing the flavor kick while the crunchy exterior contrasted the squash interior Pasta with leek and truffle was unlike any pasta dish I have ever had.

If you are coming to town or living in SLC, this is must to try! Oquirrh sources locally grown foods! My husband told me that his meal was phenomenal as the flavors of the food are what he remembers after a great harvest in the fall on the farm. The portions are great and a healthy amount of food. All the staff was outstanding, very personable and made sure all our needs were taken care of. The ambience of the restaurant is filled with love ❤️. Thanks for the amazing dining experience! We met the wonderful owner and she puts so much love and effort into the experience. She had food allergies upon a time and wanted to bring holistic, nutritional food to those whom visit! Cheers!
