La Cava Restaurant

The ambience is great. Loved the giant stained glass window! The servers were all really friendly and quick so it's a very pleasant place to eat dinner. The food was very good but, imho, not the best part of the dinner. I had the spinach ravioli with a marinara sauce that, while it was tasty, wasn't anything exceptional. Others in my group had snapper and loved it so maybe it depends on what you get the night you go. Good selection of desserts too.

What a fantastic place! And we just happened upon this church restaurant! The type of service was definitely upscale and provided a wonderful fine sining experience. The steak was the best steak I think I have ever had. It was romantic to sit underneath the large stained glass windows and down a bottle of Chardonnay with my eggplant parmesan. Definitely recommend for date night. May need reservations. Not very big for big gatherings.

Reservation at 8. Appetizer arrived at 9, after I asked for it. Waitress never checked on our app or meal after we got it. She filled our drinks once the whole meal. Pork chop was undercooked! My spinach ravioli was ok. After they took the plates back to the kitchen, they brought back the uncooked pork chops for us to take home! Very disappointing 10th wedding anniversary. We won't be back. I advised the waitress and her response was,"that's fine, we aren't for everyone!". Head waiter came over and chatted with us and was very kind and accommodating. The young lady who brought our bread and filled our drinks was also very nice. Just don't think it's enough for us to return.

We liked the atmosphere in this old renovated church. The staff is attentive and friendly. I had the fish special which I was told tasted like tuna. It tasted nothing like tuna. My wife ended up ordering a appetizer because she didn’t care for the short list off main meals on the menu. I watched two large dogs being walked into the restaurant. Also had someone set just outside of the door we were setting beside smoking a cigar. Every time the door was opened the smell and smoke would come in. We had a group of six and I can’t say anyone was real excited about their experience.

Amazing food! I love a restaurant where they have a new menu per day. It just shows the care given to select the ingredients and food items and it gives the chef an opportunity to cook something that they’re passionate about. You can definitely taste that in the food. I’ve tried the deserted, the duck, pasta, salmon, swordfish, it was all amazing! We will be back!
