I was very impressed! Not expecting much change out of the norton grape but this owner is the real deal.. he cares deeply about wine and is doing amazing scientific things with light exposer and blends. His port is a sleeping giant masterpiece! Glad to get a whole bottle instead of a 1/2 at that price. His oak age white is a spectator 91 pt I think and his reserved red a 90 pt you don't do that in Missouri unless you love wine! Class act and will be back.. oh and his chef is a whole other wonder I could write a paragraph on. Bottom line these guys are the real deal... for serious wine drinkers and knowledge service.
I love the view, it's spectacular, the food was great, all except my husband's dish had what tasted like frozen then thawed out rice. If spending 30.00 per dish, everything should be fresh, other than that everything was fantastic. I had the tenderloin and he had the amazing Hawaiian walu fish which is now going to be hard to beat, as we love great fish. The staff there are wonderful, I don't remember her name, but I imagine it was the manager, and I called again too late, 9 am Friday morning to see if there were any open tables, and of course there weren't, but she put me on a waiting list and insured me I may possibly be able to get squeezed in. Then she called at 2 to say a spot was open. That is excellent customer service. We will definitely be back.
Only suggestions are that there be just a little more bread on the antipasto plate, and the menu include great kids options. We always have our children, or our youngest atleast , but we also love more than just fried food options such as chicken strips. We eat pretty healthy and so do our kids. Having grilled options, and a variety of such is what we look for if we go out as a family.
