Karibu Grocery And Deli

I had a good experience here. I stopped by cause I was in the area and this place was highly rated. The place was very clean and bright making for a nice lunch atmosphere. They have patio seating available as well and big windows to people watch or watch traffic while you eat. They do have a small grocery section but it was pretty bare. The lady who took my order was very friendly and had some nice recommendations for food. She was correct on what she told me to order I was not disappointed. If you are near the area and enjoy East African food definitely stop in and give them a try.

Karibu has plenty to choose from in the areas of East African and Mediterranean cuisine. There are a couple of grocery aisles in addition to a restaurant/deli with seating. I ordered the Chooza chicken platter and the lamb gyro. I picked up some pounded yam in the grocery section while my food was being prepared. The chicken platter and gyro were both delicious! The gyro especially had soft pita and a healthy portion of lamb inside.

I've been here when they first opened and it was amazing. Till this day it's still AMAZING. the main dish I get here is the nomads ari. This dish is a goat dish. The flavor is seasoned and cooked just right. The rice is aromatic and goes well with the goat meat. Their two sauces aren't that spicy so to the non spicy lovers this will be perfect for you. They also have one that's spicy, but you just gotta ask. This place haven't changed in quality of food since they opened. I'm glad their here located in East St Paul.
