Really good food! Calle Margarita was strong, which is a plus lol The Queso was thee truth and the shrimp tacos were amazing. The waiter was cool too lol I’ll be back again
Great place for upscale food in a casual environment! Also very vegetarian friendly which is always great to see. I had the lunch flautas, which were packed with flavor and absolutely delicious, nevermind that as a vegetarian I can hardly ever get flautas in the first place. The queso dip was also spectacular, delicious without being overpowering. The staff were very responsive and friendly, and when he joked "see you guys for supper" I have half a mind to take him up on it. 🙂 If I have anything negative to say, it is just that the cocktails were a little pricey, though they tasted phenomenal. A great offering in a great area, don't miss out!
This isn't your typical Mexican food joint. They serve fresh and authentic food with attention to detail and presentation that impresses. I got los cuatro tacos and loved the carne asada and Al pastor especially!
A small yet impressive menu that is well executed. The food was fresh and the presentation was superb -- surprisingly good! Bright setting, good service.
Wow, wow, wow. The food shines. It's beautiful, satisfying, complex, unique, yet familiar. The Calle Marg with tequila-salt foam is addictive.
This is not your typical Mexican restaurant. This is placed is owned by two incredible Mexican women. The food is phenomenal and above all, authentic; there is flavor in every. single. bite. So many vegetarian options that can be made vegan by request. The guacamole and street corn are a must-try. Drinks are delicious - the margaritas are handmade. Very clean, welcoming environment with both indoor and outdoor seating. My official favorite Mexican restaurant in St. Louis.
If you’re looking for a small business to support-especially during COVID-Alta Calle is it. My husband and I felt safe dining-in here. All safety precautions were in place, including social distancing and mask-wearing by staff.
Lunch there today; Richard was our server and he was amazing. Explained the dishes, some of which are not traditional Mexican food as we know it, was prompt with the service and entertaining as well. Food was great and some of the portions are very filling and large for lunch. All of it was great!!
Be prepared for something different if you like Mexican food.
Place is new and you can tell they are trying to find their rhythm. The Margarita's were good, the salt foam was oddly interesting and I wasn't sure if I liked it, but by my second drink i decided i did. The food was really tasty, the carne asada came with pickled vegetables which were amazing and complimented the steak very nicely. The cauliflower side was also very tasty. And I love how they prepare their shrimp tacos. All in all a good experience and i think it's a great addition to the neighborhood.
Delicious, well-executed, and fresh. Portion sizes are spot on. The shrimp tacos and chicken enchiladas were delicious and filling without being too heavy. The kids all enjoyed their quesadillas and rice and beans. Service was excellent. Highly recommend!
Friendly staff at the bar. The food is excellent! Well plated and great flavors. The salt foam on the margarita is innovative and delicious. I have been twice now and will definitely go back. I recommend this place to anyone who wants elevated Mexican food.
