Just ate the best chocolate chip cookie I’ve EVER eaten! It was melty and gooey and fresh! My asiago chicken pizza was perfection! The staff super cool! Huge shoutout to Max as he was amazing! Probably one of the best customer service and food experiences I’ve ever had! I work in Clayton and frequent this location, but this time by far exceeded the norm! Thank you guys!

We have eaten there twice and the sandwiches were great! Large variety to choose from. Order taken quickly and sandwich done in a few minutes. Love this place!

Ordered delivery for 7 people, a combination of pizza and sandwiches. Order arrived quickly, driver was pleasant and helpful. I had a pizza, the Hog, and this is my second time having it. It shouldn't be as good as it is. Nothing is extraordinary, but EVERYTHING is good, and when put together it is amazing. The sauce and seasonings strike a perfect balance, the toppings are of high quality, everything is so well balanced - in proportion and flavors - that it is an amazing eating experience. Everyone else was just as happy with whatever they ordered as well. Is it a bit pricey? Sure is, but it is worth the splurge to get that feeling of pure enjoyment when you are eating it. Can't wait to order again.

Tbh, imo, sandwiches are mid, but the pizza is absolutely where it’s at. The veggie pizza here is my favorite pizza ever

Rating: 3.7 Stars Update 9/29/2021: I ordered the BBQ Chicken Sandwich. It had great flavor, but my sandwich was very light on the chicken. This was disappointing. This was my first ever order from Pickleman's Gourmet Cafe. Because I have had the meatball sandwiches at Good Buddy's (by far the best) and Gioia's Deli, it made sense to order Pickleman's Gourmet Cafe's Meatball Sandwich for the sake of comparison. Their version is interesting because the marinara sauce comes separate. The sandwich was smaller than anticipated. I am also not sure how I felt about the whipped garlic butter. The Meatball Sandwich was pretty solid, but the bread was soggy. That was a major letdown. The meatballs were also somewhat dry. Furthermore, the marinara sauce in the separate cup was watery and not well mixed. It also was not the greatest. Oh well. I give the Meatball Sandwich 3.7 stars. The Chocolate Chip Cookie that I ordered was good. It had a nice gooey consistency and good flavor. I give the Chocolate Chip Cookie 4.1 stars. The average of the two items comes out to the 3.9-star rating for my first Pickleman's Gourmet Cafe experience. I hope that this was just an anomaly, and I look forward to trying their other offerings in the future.

The sandwiches are very, very tasty but extremely SMALL. I also purchased a salad, and as salad goes,it was ok. The ambiance of the facility is a laid back, old pizza joint. The aroma is intoxicating. I think I'll return for pizza next.

Coming into the establishment on dec 26 I was pleasantly surprised at the attentiveness and friendliness of the front staff workers Especially a young black male with a bustling personality upon taking my order Was an admiration of myself to see Such fine workers I even had some concerns on how I wanted my food made And it was with immediate happiness that my order was exactly how I wanted Wtbs whoever worked on the night shift for dec 26 Kudos to you team Will be back again!!

Fantastic sandwiches, had a toasted turkey sandwich, 10x better than subway in my opinion, the quality and taste of the product was fantastic. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a good lunch sandwich spot. 8 bucks for what was maybe a 6-8 inch sub however it was definty worth it . I will be going back

If I lived in St. Louis, I'd eat lunch here once a week. The logo reads, "Gourmet cafe." True words, that! Sandwiches. Salads. Pizza. They say you can't eat on a beer budget and get champagne food. Well, you can at Pickleman's. Everything is top notch...at student prices. My turkey bacon club was stuffed with fresh lettuce and tomato atop crunchy, crunchy bacon slabs. I love the sandwich bread. It's he-man thick. I needed two hands to hold it! I am a salad girl. I inhaled the Avo-Cobb salad. It was studded with hard-boiled eggs, tomatoes, crumbled bacon and sliced avocados. Even the croutons were crunchy. All the pizzas are thin crust. The sausage pizza had classic Italian sausage pieces generously sprinkled throughout. Another fav was the walnut cran salad. The blue cheese had just the right bite. The cranberries added chewy and sweet while the walnuts added crunchy and salty. A match made in heaven. St. Louis University is directly across the street. The decor reflects this affiliation. Nothing pretentious here. Everything is served in disposable plastic. The dining room is large and airy. The wooden tables are welcoming and friendly; nothing fancy here. The place reminds me of the delis I hung out in the 1960s in another Midwest city, Chicago. Pickleman's definitely has that mid-century vibe. When are they going to open one in Las Vegas????

Pickleman’s is pretty good. I always get it late nights but it’s a way healthier better tasting option than other fast too. Salads pizza soups and all. The cookies are good. Located right at SLU’s campus. Clean and cordial employees. They’ve never got my order wrong. There’s a loyalty program. All walks of life visit here. You have to get the garlic cheese bread. Take my word for it!

Good food. Great service. Fast. Average environment. Difficult parking. High prices. Overall, it is better than fast food, sub sandwich, franchise restaurants. Still, it's a sub sandwich restaurant with a few extras & not really gourmet or a café.

I order online for lunch and it’s always consistent and amazing! They never forget the extra condiments and I always appreciate how lovely their delivery people are! (Tommy and India)
