Great Pizza. Schottzie's prices are very fair. Their deluxe pizza may be the best St. Louis style in town!
Good Pizza. The atmosphere @ Schottzie's leaves little to be desired, but their pizza really is good.
Tuesday night special is where it's at!
Dive Bar, Great wings.. Mustard wings are in my top ten of all time. Dive bar....DIVE BAR...but I really enjoy that atmosphere.
The bacon pizza is dare I say— is like the adult version of Imos pizza. Crispy thin crust pizza with provel cheese. I returned my meal and and it was comped. I was grateful. Out of everything we tried, the pizza really stole the show!
Our first visit tonight. Came because it's in the Pizza Passport. Ordered thin crust bacon, pepperoni , and green pepper with extra sauce, only mozzarella.
Did not disappoint - their sauce is incredibly good, crust was hand rolled and crispy, tho the middle didn't hold up as well to our extra sauce. But that's on us.
We started with the tavern eggs (scotch eggs), which were very good.
Service was great. It was very loud and chilly in there tonight, which isn't the best atmosphere for a date. I'm going to come back another time when hopefully it's less loud.
Great place to grab a bite to eat and watch the game. They have a decent sized bar and lots of tables to sit at. Plenty of TV's with all different games on so you don't have to worry about missing a play. Their menu is pretty verbose as well. I recall seeing everything from cow brains to grilled cheese sandwiches. The tots they serve on the side could feed a family of four so that didn't disappoint either.
A great local South Saint Louis County haunt. Classic bar. Known for their pizza. Great liquor prices.
I love this place. My wife and I went on a Saturday, for my birthday. I specifically wanted to try their brain sandwich. I like to try unusual foods! This an old-time local pub, my favorite type of restaurant. It was cozy with all the typical trappings of a well-established, older restaurant-bar; I'd call it family-friendly. The brain sandwich was deep-fried, smothered in onions and brown mustard. It was surprisingly good - I'd order it again. My wife had the Reuben and said it was delicious. The bar tender was very nice... all in all this was a great experience, a fun birthday. I'll go back!
Really good lunch specials. I got the 9” pizza and a side salad for $7. The salad was good with lots of cheese and tasty house dressing.
The pizza was impressive, with SIX ENTIRE PIECES OF BACON on the mere 9” pizza. The sauce was too sweet for my liking, but everything else was great.
Lots of goodies on the menu, but we decided on the hot wings, mushrooms, and cheese garlic bread for appetizers. The wings were some of the best, maybe the best mushrooms, but the cheese garlic bread was dry and not garlicky (although my wife did like the marinara)
We ordered Pepperoni & Mushroom with Mozzarella and were very pleased with the pizza. All the flavors blended together for a very good pizza experience.
It was our first time here. I had a burger and it was delicious. I don't usually like the bun, but it was delicious too. 5 stars for the burger. The tater tots were nice and crispy, but a little bland. My sister had a quesadilla and it was nice and cheezy.
It was a little noisy, but it is a bar.
Shout out to Kai our server. She was the only server and she did a fantastic job.
Over all we really liked this place.
Food was awesome. Will definitely be back soon. Our waitress was awesome and very attentive. Had the nachos and when she noticed we were halfway through them she asked if we wanted her to reheat them to melt the cheese again. Great service.
When the place is busy, there's no need to have the television sound up so loud that everyone has to shout, adding to the noise level. Yes, it's a sports bar/restaurant, but the noise level is unnecessary and detracts from the otherwise nice place.
