I've been here many times over the years and have always had excellent food... It's time I finally give a review! I had the salmon hash with a glass of Chianti for Sunday brunch w few friends. Not only was the food and wine really good but the music perfectly soothing. We were able to enjoy each other's company and also listen to the acoustic guitar player... Lovely place on a lovely day
The best Italian food around. Temesgen is the best Barista/Bartender and Aster is the best chef. Comfort food and a great bar. Oh, desserts. Amazing
Bar Italia stands as a timeless and cherished spot in the Central West End, contributing to the St. Louis community since 1983. I had not been to Bar Italia since 2015 and its charm hasn’t changed. the upscale Italian cuisine remains unparalleled in St. Louis. The crab ravioli and mushroom pasta showcased the culinary excellence, leaving another mark on my taste buds. Beyond the exquisite dishes, the ambiance at Bar Italia creates a memorable dining experience. Here's to the enduring charm and continued excellence of Bar Italia!
You must experience Bar Italia! Reserve your table and experience Mediterranean excellence!Patio and inside dining are available. Beautiful grape vines embaraces the exterior infrastructure. It is truly a taste on Italy in the CWE.
Great place! I got the special. It was really good.
Drinks are great too. Service is amazing. Tiramisu was delicious!
Bar Italia is a nice spot in the CWE. The atmosphere outside is better than inside, the service is ok, they aren’t super attentive but you will still get what you need. The food is ok as well, not exactly raving to get back but it’s good for the night. As a St. Louis native I’ve been here before and it’s kinda just the same as always. I will say the best part are the drinks! So you won’t be disappointed going here but you also won’t be excited to come back.
Top 10 meal of my 5 decades! Amazing food plus incredible service by Juan and Nicole. This is a not to be missed dining experience. Just make sure to make a reservation.
Wonderful Italian restaurant. Quaint atmosphere. Friendly service. The food was amazing. I had the butternut squash ravioli. It was so flavorful and out of this world amazing!! Great taste of fall. My wife had the seafood ravioli, which she thought was also amazing. The only thing that was slightly interesting was that it took what seemed forever to get our bill. Other than that minor detail it was a fabulous evening with fantastic food, great service, in a quaint restaurant!
Very sweet restaurant! Food and Wine very good apps were delicious. Feta and pistachio w sauté sweet onions & pita was very good
Chicken and mushroom was also excellent.
Dining room out and in both large e ouch for a large party. See photos
My family and I sat on the patio this evening. We had a variety of entrees - salmon, pasta, salad, etc and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. It was a lovely setting and the service was fabulous. I will definitely be back!! Thank you Bar Italia!
As a general rule, I don't patron any establishments that have lower than a 4.5 star rating on Google maps. At the time of writing this and my visit, Bar Italia had a 4.3 star rating of 385 reviews. My partner and I were wandering around aimlessly so we decided to take a chance. WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED!
I had the Pollo Arrosto and the lil lady had the Ragu alla Bolognese. Both were fantastic and I would highly recommend them to anyone.
I want to preface this review with a tidbit of important information. This is the only enjoyable Italian restaurant that my partner and I have been to since we moved to St Louis, about a month ago. In fact, it is the fourth restaurant we have visited in the Italian genre and the only one we haven't walked out of.
The restaurant was also courteous to our service dog. 10 out of 10 will come back.
Great place to come for Sunday brunch. The pistachio, goat cheese and candied onion appetizer is absolutely phenomenal! All the entrees that I've tried are delicious and services usually very good.
Eating here with the kids can be a little tricky as they don't have a kids menu so things have to be made on the fly or adjusted since many of the adult entrees and prices are a little beyond what a kid would lay into.
The outdoor patio space is awesome and provides a wonderful dining atmosphere down there in the Central West End!
