It was my first time at Anthonino’s and I was in the mood for pasta. The place is classy, the food was great and the staff was phenomenal. I ordered 3 different pastas and each dish was consistently cooked to my request. All tasted amazing. I started with a pizza , sweet and spicy, as an appetizer. It was a great choice. It is a mix between thin and original crust which was crispy and a little chewy but not dry. Just the way a pizza should be. My favorite pasta dish was the Puttanesca with fresh tomatoes, capers, anchovies, etc. I do not settle for restaurants that don’t make their food from scratch with love. You will taste the difference at this restaurant compared to others. Thank you Chefs and staff for a memorable day.
Very satisfying for sure. Toasted ravs were really good, as was the gyro. Guys at the bar were great.
Happy to have gone there, not sure if I'd make it a regular stop but would certainly recommend checking it out.
We finally tried a new place on the hill and it did not disappoint! Everything was delicious and we even had some leftovers due to some generous portion 😊 I have put the description and price after the pic I thought this would help you know what we had and take out the guess work💁♀️ we also got dessert but it was so good we inhaled it and forgot a pic 🤣 definitely will go back and best of all our server Cherish was amazing. She made sure we had EVERYTHING we needed and got it with a smile ❤️
Food there is always good. Especially, Toasted ravioli was really good. And I ordered gluten free pasta to just try. I used to get regular pasta, but I really enjoyed the taste of gluten free pasta too.
Only few dissapointment was our server spilled water on table when he gives us more water. And He didn't say anything about it. But Overall,I love this place!
Absolutely everything is on point, from the welcoming atmosphere when you walk in, to the personal and attentive (without being intrusive or bothersome) service...and what can be said about the food other than OMG yes!
The toasted ravioli are amazing, the crispy artichoke hearts are to die for, and the lasagna is probably the best I've ever had!
Friendly Mediterranean style restaurant on the Hill fits in well with the rest of the area that adds to the experience of first timers. Plenty of sidewalk seating along with a decent dinning room. Pizzas looked awesome as we walked by to our table.
Toasted Ravioli appetizer 6 pieces loaded with meat spinach and cheese placed around a dish of marinara was tasty
I thought the house (Greek) salad was a bit dry. Actually couldn't tell if there was any dressing on it.
Wife got lasagna and she thought it lacked enough red sauce. More like pasta with plenty cheese but kinda dry.
Chicken Palermo was excellent but I got white pasta as a side. Disappointed as the pasta was tough to chew.
Next time we'll try the pizza as that looked awesome.
We arrived from out of town on a crowded post holiday night. The hour+ wait for a table was more than we had in us, but they happily took our take away order at the bar, and made a tasty Cosmo for the wait. We left with a delicious pizza and ravioli, the sauteed squid was especially good. Even though they were very busy, the entire staff was welcoming and helpful.

My experience at Anthonino's Taverna was fantastic. We celebrated my birthday on June 29th, My immediate family was all in attendance. The food was delicious. The service was great. The atmosphere was inviting. I was met at the door with a sign posted, wishing me happy birthday. A nice surprise. This was a great experience at a neighborhood restaurant on "The Hill, the Italian area in St. Louis. I ordered the pasta con broccoli, and it was delicious and flavorful. Even the bread was light and just the right texture. Not doughy. It may be bread from Missouri bakery. Also, a well established Italian business on "The Hill" The pizza was also very appetizing. That was ordered by my wife and son. My son had the meatball pizza. He could not stop talking about it. My wife had the goat cheese pizza, and she enjoyed the crisp crust and fresh ingredients. When you visit, come hungry. Thank you, Anthonino's Taverna, for making an awesome end to my birthday celebration.
Italian/Greek restaurant with so many interesting choices. Our waitress was very friendly and on point the entire meal. We started with Toasted Ravioli with red sauce, they were large along with hot and really flavorful.
We both decided on the Big Anthony Burger.
All burgers are 8oz certified angus beef brand. garlic cheese bread topped with gyro meat. The burger was do delicious along with cooked to order perfectly. The roll they use is just right to hold the burger along with being light. Next we ordered some pizzas to go for dinner tonight, as the prices are so reasonable along with unusual choices.
Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza
pancetta, mozzarella, crushed meatballs and cheddar. All pizzas are 14”, hand tossed and served with mozzarella cheese.
Gyro Pizza
tzatziki sauce, gyro meat, tomato, onion and feta. All pizzas are 14”, hand tossed and served with mozzarella cheese.
They look so good and looks like a fire oven was used, the crust looks great too. Give you a break down on the pizzas after we eat them.
Gotta go back and try their chicken pesto pasta as it sounds so yummy. They have Ravioli with a pesto sauce, not many restaurants have a pesto sauce.
Please support your local businesses to keep them in our neighborhoods.
One of the many places on "the hill" this place is right next door to one of my favorite places for ravioli. I decided to try it here as I was passing though, and Anthonino's raviolis were good. In my opinion not as good as next door, but the lasagna was EXCELLENT. The lasagna contains the homemade Bolognese plus copious amounts of cheeses which makes it a stunning party in the mouth. I ordered takeout, but I noticed the ambiance seemed nice.
Check it out, St. Louis!
