I'd been to this restaurant multiple times. Everytime I get half stale chips and flat soda. Perhaps they need to upgrade their machines. The margaritas, rice and beans are good, but other than that the food is O.K for the price you pay. The chimangas don't have the red sausage and cheese that goes on top which was disappointing. The cheese enchiladas are good, and the carne asada was not bad. You get a red spicy salsa and a non spicy. The none spicy taste like tomato sauce. Would probably not come back or recommend unless they make a drastic change.

El Puente is located in downtown St Charles. There is no dedicated parking however there are city parking lots within walking distance. The restaurant has a bar which also offers dinning. The restaurant was busy but the wait was short. The food was good and the strawberry margarita was good. A friend recommended we try it and we were not disappointed.

We have enjoyed many meals here over the years, but tonight was our last night at El Puente. Wish them the best of luck, but burrito was terrible and everyone else at our table was very unimpressed. We were there celebrating a special occasion but the food was anything but special. Wish you the best!

The food was made so poorly and fell apart. Everything was soggy and bland, no taste. Asked for no onions and their were loads of onions. Worst Mexican cuisine I've ever had. will never go back. Only thing they didn't mess up were the chips. SERIOUSLY?????

Food was Great! Service was Great! Clean and Comfortable. Only thing I didn't care for was Additional Charge for more Chips. That said, I will Definitely return.

Service and space were great but the food wasn't very impressive. We had a special limited menu for our work group which was really nice, definitely can tell they care about their business and are trying hard, just need a little tweaks to their recipes.

The food here is just ok, very bland. The best part was their salsa. Don't think I'll be back, to many other Mexican restaurants with more flavors.
