Beef Shack

The Beef Shack never fails to be one of my top favorite places to stop in the country when I'm near Chicago. Seriously, it is that good. I look forward to stopping there every year and it's definitely a highlight. There are Italian beef sandwiches are the best I've ever had and staff is always incredibly friendly. Only thing is I wish they sold Beef Shack T-shirts because I would totally Rock one. If you're in the area this is truly a no-brainer if you're hungry!

They call their Cheesy Beef “famous” so my husband and I both had to give it a try. We also ordered the fries. The beef sandwiches were really good. Not dry and very tasty – we liked it a lot. The bread they used tasted really fresh – not like 3-day-old bread they’ve had out for a while. I was not a big fan of the French fries, but that’s just personal preference since I normally don’t like fries with the skin on. Know before you go: The menu is really small – Just the beef sandwiches, burger, chicken sandwich, grilled cheese, hot dogs and a salad. I like that they keep is small though. Try the beef – it’s what they are good at.
