We were at Bar Louie today for happy hour but we were told that it was only Monday through Friday :/ but we ended up staying because of our server Angel. I was surprise of how patient she was and she was definitely the sweetest server we’ve had there. I had the gastro burger and loaded fries which she recommended and it was amazing. All of our food and drinks came out on point so we will definitely be back. :)

This place is so good that we ate here twice in one day!! We were here in the area for a couples weekend away. With no set plans, we decided to start off at the “Streets of St. Charles”. This area is cute and offers a lot of options for food. We picked lunch at Bar Louie. It was nice because we didn’t have reservations but were seated right away for lunch despite a fairly busy restaurant. Menus are digital so be prepared. I actually don’t mind it but I’m sure there are people who might request a physical menu. The waitress was at our table taking drink orders minutes after being seated. She was friendly and made great recommendations. Everyone at our table loved the food and drinks here. The potstickers were my favorite appetizer but the pretzels were also really good. The flatbread was delish and my husband had the chipotle chicken tacos (raved about them). We were so impressed with lunch that we were back for a late dinner. The late-night meal did not disappoint either. The staff was punctual, friendly and I didn’t see a displeased table at either visit. Bar Louie St. Charles, you’re the upscale bar and grill without the high prices or stuffy atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back!

The place was awesome 3 years ago and still okay, but they have went up on prices and the food tasted very funny this time. I usually always get their chicken nachos but was disappointed. I wanted to make reservations for a party of 7 but they don’t do those. You would think due to covid they would take extra precautions because everyone likes this place on the weekends for their bottomless mimosas . Waited an hour , finally got seated in a back area because they were PACKED, also took FOREVER for mimosa refills . But my friends and the DJ made my bday better . Hopefully this was just a mistake for today because i use too totally love this place .

So I had really mixed feelings about this place. We had to come to St. Louis for work for a day and decided to try out this joint. We are big fans of finding the best rated burgers in the area when we travel and trying them out. We had the calamari to start which was alright but really greasy and I have definitely had better. If you don't like the sauce it comes with (I wasn't a big fan of it) i recommend getting the ranch. I tried the marinara sauce as well but also not very good. The ranch however is very unique and probably the best tasting thing I had the whole night. I had the burger with the candied bacon, it was pretty good but I have definitely had better. The meat was so tender that it was borderline mushy. My husband got the one with cream cheese and he said that it was alright but interesting was his words. We both got the tots and those dipped in ranch were good. So the food was decent but I would compare this restaurant to Applebee's or something. ALSO the light was broke above the booth and instead of letting us know or blocking the booth or fixing it, they let us sit the whole evening in both where it went from light to dark over and over again. The place itself was crowded, but the server was nice and got us everything we requested in a timely manner. She talked very little and seemed busy but took great care of all our needs and was very pleasant every time she came to our table! So we appreciated at least having a good server! Not sure about others but when we walked in it was very confusing, no host stand, no sign to tell us to wait or seat ourselves. Finally a server (I think) came over to tell us that we can just go find a table. So between that little deal and the appetizer kind of sucking we almost left, but thankfully the experience and good got slightly better.
