This restaurant is located in a strip full of mechanics and other trade shops. On the day of my visit, parking was abundant.
I ordered two pork tamales which came with a side of rice and beans and a canned drink. The service I received was great, the lady servicing the store at the time was sweet.
The food was packaged very well. The tamales themselves were good, though the wrapping they're placed in tends to stick to the tamale and makes taking it off kind of annoying. Unfortunately, I didn't much enjoy the rice and beans as I found them kind of flavorless. The spicy salsa provided helped a bit but not much.
All in all, they make pretty good tamales. I will probably be back sometime to try the other varieties!
Our Sacramento Roller Derby league sold Tamales for our league fundraiser. It was a yummy success.

I came here as I was on my way south and I got the original flavor as well as the chipotle tofu. Can. Not. Complain at all. Simply amazing. And the mild salsa was a great topping, too.
The best, absolutely the best. Their chicken enchiladas are out of this world and no matter how hard I try I will never be able to replicate theirs. Tamales are also delicious and just like grandma would make. Perfect ratio of meat to masa. Hibiscus tea is a must to have with your meal as is their salsa. Prices are reasonable, $6.00 for the enchiladas and you get two. This is one of those places you have to eat at at least once point in your lifetime. I true treasure to the Sacramento area, a hidden gem.
We have passed Emma's Tamales many times over the years and today we finally stopped. We wished that we would have stopped by a long time ago. The tamales were excellent the meat-to-masa ratio is perfect. The chips are very good and the salsa is too. The service was very good she was very friendly. The price is very reasonable. We will be going back again.

Yummy veggie tamales and you can purchase them in 6-packs! All the food is heated in the microwave so it's not necessarily fine dining, but it's cute and quaint. The server/cashier is extremely attentive.
I love this place, around Christmas time I always find myself craving tamales and Emma's has so many vegetarian/vegan options. I highly recommend the Jalapeño Cheese tamale.
These are the best tamales around n their chips are delicious and their beans n rice are bomb. What more can I say. I love this place. The young girl who works there is sweet as heck. I hit this place at least once a week for combo #4
