Discovered just a month ago and so far we've paid a total of 3 visits! Be prepare to shuck to your hearts content, but I don't mind at all because I can eat a dozen all to myself for a whopping price $18.95/dozen. It doesn't get any better than that folks.
Making your own mignonette sauce is easy - all you need is rice vinegar, a little bit of water to dilute the acidity, sugar, black pepper, some lemon juice, and dice red onion. I don't measure and just taste as I go and add ingredients accordingly.
We got some crab legs from Sunh and OMG they turned out to be the best crabs we've had!!
It was our anniversary and instead of going out to sit down somewhere and order, we decided to make an activity out of it by buying our own crabs and making our own sauce etc.
I am so glad we chose this route cause the crabs we purchased were incredible! They were meaty and fresh.
Service was good. Quick and efficient. I wish they had more choices available but it may just be because we got there late or things are not in season.
I have the photo of the cooked crab already just to show how great the quality of their product is.
On the next time i'll visit, I would really like to try to purchase uni and salmon sashimi.

I've been frequenting Sunh Fish lately since I've been craving specifically ikura (salmon roe), not tobiko, and uni (sea urchin) but I couldn't find any of it at the usual Asian stores I go to (KP International, Oto's Marketplace, SF supermarket, etc). Sunh Fish is reliable for fresh fish and variety too! I was so happy to find what I wanted here and mu husband can attest since it seems all the attitude leaves my body after visiting Sunh Fish.
I've bought oysters here before and although they tasted good, they were a bit too small so I've only been buying other sashimi grade seafood here.
When there's little to no customers, the staff is friendlier and more attentive. There's a black gentleman here that is always nice and helpful with me though and I haven't had a bad experience at this store but when it has been busy, you might feel rushed but I've always been helped in a timely manner. I'm always offered a bag of ice for my fish for the ride home too.
I'm definitely a returning customer for the uni and ikura ❤️
I picked up a couple dozen oysters. It was a quick in and out trip. Can't beat the prices and quality. Definitely recommend!

This is the only place in Sacramento to get sushi grade fish, shell fish, live lobster and crab. It's the absolute best!
Fantastic fresh fish. I got a recommendation from my co worker about this place. Went on a Saturday at 3. There was a line 4 people deep outside the front door. The line moved very quickly. The counter line is red taped off so you can appropriately distance. The counter has multiple items. We got the U10 scollops and some kumamato oysters. The woman ringing us up threw in a bag of ice. I will be coming back here for sure!!!
I love this place! Super fresh seafood and staff is really friendly and knowledgeable. Fairly priced but obviously more expensive then your standard grocery store for good reason...high quality products! Keep in mind that many local restaurants actually buy the seafood here so you are getting quality at a discount over a restaurant.
First time customer: was helped by Ryan who impressed me and my wife tremendously. Not knowing the "lay of the land" he oriented us to the shop, shipment timings, and coached us through some of our choices of sushi grade fish. Despite other customers I never felt rushed and his service was never condescending.
With regard to the fish, the quality was very good. Fresh and at a reasonable price. I will be returning many times in the future. Highly recommend!
