My favorite breakfast place! I got the big salad shop bagel + sunny side egg and I can’t get enough of it. It’s a super nice little shop, kind of hidden but the people working are extremely sweet and attentive. The food is amazing and super fresh haven’t had a bad thing to say since I discovered it last week and have already been there twice ! 10/10 recommended if your looking for fresh breakfast place

For a location directly across from the Capital building, centrally located in downtown, the Big Salad Shop is definitely my new favorite when I need to eat lunch out! 🥗🎉
I ate here before the pandemic, and just went for the first time since on Wednesday 7/14/21. I got a chicken Caesar salad and it was AMAZING!!! I had been craving a big, delicious salad and it did not disappoint!! Great dressing- more than enough- the right amount of chicken, lettuce was fresh and crunchy, and the croutons tasted like they're possibly homemade..? Even if they're not, still delicious and a perfect finish for this salad. I definitely recommend going on your lunch breaks or whenever you can! This place is super yummy!!!
They really do serve giant salad bowls. Huge servings! So worth the money! And delicious!
This place is fantastic. If you're looking for a good downtown lunch option, this is one of my favorites. Their salads are, as you would expect, big - and they have a wide variety (the Cobb is great). They also have much more than salads, with an array of soups and sandwiches too (the A-1 sandwich is awesome, and I've never seen it anywhere else). If you're in a hurry, you can call in an order and its ready by the time you get there. Plus, the owner (Steve) is great - he'll remember your name and exactly how you customize your salad. Genuinely good food + great customer service = awesome.
Met a friend who works downtown here for lunch the other day. I went in thinking salad and changed my mind to get the California Club because it sounded and looked so delicious. Ordering was easy and the staff was very efficient in receiving and delivering the order. My friend and I had our food in less than 2 minutes it felt like. The sandwich was a good size and it came with a side dish. The food was tasty and fresh, which was great. This place seemed like a great spot for the downtown crowd, so there was plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. If you're in a hurry they let you take it to go too. Definitely check it out for an affordable, delicious lunch near the capital.
Love love love! I tried salads from local shops all over sac. This would be in top 5 if not number 1. Good portion sizes. Tasty. Ordered it many very times. Would definitely recommend to anyone trying to like and eat salads.
Surprisingly it's hard to find a good salad in Sacramento. Paesanos is my go-to but now I have another option. Quality ingredients in balanced proportions and very reasonable price. Have not tried all the dressings but the ones I have are good. Surprisingly, when I asked if I could sub one type of cheese for a goat cheese they had no idea what that was!
Omg!! The vegetable soup is amazing and Keto friendly! Side salad was huge and fresh giant chucks on blue cheese! I will definitely be ordering here again!
I can't get enough! The salads are really quite large and comprised of mixed greens and toppings, unless you get a different variety. Also, the menu is bigger than you'd expect, and everything is great.
