Fantastic new lunch or dinner spot in the Pocket. So much variety from the Impossible Burger, to the Pineapple Pork Bao, specialty Lattes, and desserts. Friendly and conscientious staff, clean comfortable seating, and bright décor. Already a favorite booth below the photo of Elvis. The wait since Buckthorn's closed is over, A Taste Above Café, is 5 stars!

Really not a bad place. They have a a variety of Asian cuisine here. There is Japanese, Hawaiian, Chinese, hamburgers, and sandwiches. They can do a lot and have specials too. Boba and milk tea will be coming soon. The New York steak was tender and slightly sweet teriyaki sauce complimented each other. The broccoli helped cut the sweetness of the sauce. Also the coleslaw was refreshing side to the meal. The french fries were tasty and crunchy. They're seasoned already and didn't require ketchup. The tea was pleasantly sweet and fruity.
They do a great job in making things the way you want. I like my Japanese food the way my parents made it...not sweet and without a ton of sauce that Americans like. If you want it spicy they can make it, just ask.

I first heard about this restaurant because they were working with Meals on Wheels to feed seniors. I decided to check them out because I appreciated what they're doing for our community.
The food is so good. The ATA kalbi sandwich tasted great! At this point, I've tried the chicken wings, Spam Musubi, fries, and cougar burger and I'm so impressed every time! They have really great Asian fusion flavor and also do classic American dishes well. 10/10 would recommend
Good food. This time I had the Moco Loco over fried rice. The burger patty was char-grilled, very tasty.

Oh my goodness they have the BEST vegan Philly cheesesteak I’ve ever had. I live in Roseville and I would legit drive all the way out here just to have that sandwich again. The vegan spicy Mayo has the perfect kick to it, they pack the sandwich with “meat”, bell peppers, and cheese. Highly recommend this place!
First timers today. We tried their Pork Bahn Mi sandwiches, they were delicious. One of the best we’ve had. We had the house fried rice was yummy too. Yes it took a little bit to get the food but for fresh and tasty food it’s worth it. We will be back.
I ordered there bahn mi chicken sandwich and was so happy I bought 3 more to go so friends can taste it. My husband had the plate lunch and it put other places plate lunch to shame. It was perfect. Definitely my new favorite place.
I tried their ATA (A Taste Above) cheeseburger. One of the best burgers I've ever had. Their garlic fries are delicious. They were hot and crispy with fresh garlic. Yum!
