Great friendly & lively staff, spacious & comfy venue, cozy back patio plus the food is YUM!!! The beet burger, schnitzel, sausages and pretzels are so good! Can't wait to try the rest of the menu. And with a large selection of German beer and full bar, and an awesome sound system, you are totally set! Highly recommended. :)
We started our night at Ten Ten Room for happy hour which was yummy but understaffed and sllllow. Tried to check out Social Punchbowl or whatever but the whole thing was for dummies. So, we walked to Old Sacramento to see if Distillery Alice was working. Lo and behold, Bill was tending bar! We love Bill. We ordered V. Miller sausages on pretzel buns and they were perfect. Had a couple of German beers, which were also great. Everybody in the place was as sweet as can be. They are trying to get karaoke off the ground and have a Friday night industrial dance night. The place is huge, would be great for parties. Wow. I am impressed. Please let's keep this potentially amazing place going. And, yes...Alice showed up. Full bar, not much wine, and the beer is German.
This place is awesome! The food is amazing! Prices are very fair, the atmosphere is fun and the staff is friendly. The bartenders pour good drinks and I highly recommend going for Taco Tuesday because those tacos with the homemade salsa and homemade garlic infused sour cream are on point!
This place is great! We attended a May the Fourth celebration here and enjoyed some great food, great fun, and great company! The DJ played lively music that made us get up and dance! And the outside area is a bonus!
Everyone we met that works here are wonderful. They helped us very pleasantly and patiently with our beer selection. Great German beer selection by the way, on tap and in the bottle. A great tour of this huge place was given to us and great information about food pairings with the collection of beers. My wife and I cant wait to come back and have our own little beer fest on the patio.

Food was AMAZING. Walked around old town Sac and wanted a big beer. Loved the inside theme. Staff was super friendly. We had our 2 kids, 5 yrs & 7yrs old, and ate out on the patio and found that we weren't the only parents with small kids having lunch and large beers at noon! Kid friendly.
Good beer. Good food. Just paid $20 for the 'Underground Tour' when I could have just gotten the old sac app and have an $8 schnitzel in this place. You could sit by the historic wall that was built after the flood in the 1860's or you could walk around and eat in the quaint biergarten. Missing 1 star for service. Although most the people there are 'nice' many are young and lack that service 'talent'.
Still haven't had much of the food here but the beer is genuine German beer and reminds me of Oktoberfest. Definitely try the sidewinder fries (extra crispy if you like) with the beer cheese on the side. They're to die for.
Looking forward to trying some of their German cuisine in the near future!
Haven't had much of the foods on the menu, but the $5 shots and $2 tacos Tuesdays are great. Only tried the Polish sausage w/ Sauerkraut & Hot Peppers and Sidewinder Fries, those were delicious; been there three times and it's fantastisch! :)
Karaoke night with Tyler and his crew. Great service with a smile. Many different beer available, on draft as well as bottles and cans. Clean restrooms and outdoor dining area available too. Good music to sing along and a good atmosphere where everyone is welcome.
Huge place designed for big parties, but the staff are friendly and welcoming. Strong drinks, great beer and nice German menu. Nice alleyway patio. Nice to see a non-tourist focused destination in Old Sac.
